REPOSANT

Séjour trop court d'une semaine. Villa très agréable avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Deux chambres dont une une avec mezzanine ce qui convient tres bien a une famille avec des enfants. Propriétaires accueillant et disponible pour rendre le séjour agréable. Guillaume et Anne

Eine schöne Woche im Mai in Kalamata

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in Kalamata. Panos der Vermieter war sehr bemüht und hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns immer mit sehr guten Tips und Ratschlägen versorgt. Das Haus und der Garten sind super gepflegt und sehr sauber. Lediglich die Nähe zur Hauptstrasse hat manchmal gestört. Die Zimmerbeschreibung stimmt nicht ganz, das 3te Schlafzimmer ist ein Teil ( Empore) des zweiten Schlafzimmers und hat keinen eigenen Eingang. Es gibt schöne Strände in der Nähe ( in südlicher Richtung mit dem Auto zwischen 5 bis 15 Minuten zu fahren). Die Nähe zu Kakamata hat auch Vorteile, zum Einkaufen, Essen gehen oder zum Großen Kalamata Strand sind es nur 5 bis 10 Minute)

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa. It was the perfect place for our group. The property is beautiful and allowed for a wonder view of the sunset. The property manager was very kind. There were a few beers and a fresh bowl of fruit for us to enjoy when we arrived. The location was perfect and with a gated property felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this property for anyone traveling to this area.

Fantastic place

What can I say? The house was perfect. Everything we needed in a beautiful setting. Sunsets were amazing. And Panos couldn’t have helped us more with answers to questions and recommendations.

Beautiful villa, great garden, very helpful owner

Messinian Blue Seaside Villa is a beautiful spacious home nestled in a luxurious garden. An unusual combination right on the bay and at the dorstep of Kalamata. The perfect place to visit all the sites of the Peloponeese. Accomodation and amenities were as presented in pictures and even better. Definitely a 5 star holiday home. Added to this was the generosity of Panos in helping us plan our trip to Greece. His knowledge of Athens, he lives there, and of all regions was most precious.He also was most helpful during our stay in his home, keeping us posted on what was going on in the area. My husband and I stayed six nights Oct 8–14 and definitely would recommend this home.

Sehr nahe an einem kleinen, aber sauberen und ruhigem Strand, auf dem Grundstück hat man eine tolle Aussicht und grosse Bäume= viel kühler Schatten. Wir haben es sehr genossen:)

Amazing Home Highly Recomend

The home was beautiful in great condition. The views of the water were breathtaking and the home is conveniently located from the town and beach. Panos was extremely kind and helpful and our stay was enjoyable for all three weeks we decided to stay in Kalamata. I would highly recommend the home and would stay again on my next visit.

The BEST Trip! Paradise! Cannot wait to go back!

I have been coming to Greece, Kalamata in particular, for most of my life. This summer we found this beautiful home to rent for our stay, and we thought by the looks of the beautiful pictures it must be too good to be true and something would end up not being quite as good as we expected, but to our wonderful surprise, we were completely blown away with our entire experience even from the very beginning of booking way before we even arrived. The owner, Panos, is a very special man. He went above and beyond at every turn, and took such special time and care to promptly respond to each and every random, even annoying request I came up with leading up to our trip. Not only did he research local grocery stores where I could find the exact kind of organic foods and goat milk for my baby that I was worried about finding, but he also went out and found me my exact diapers and wipes that my baby uses so that I wouldn't have to go through the hassle of going out to the store after our long travel. He made sure to stock up the house with water and fresh fruit and vegetables and coffee and treats, diapers and wipes and baby's milk, all right there waiting for me upon my arrival, making me feel so incredibly welcomed and taken care of, what a special way to be able to start your vacation. He and his wife greeted us upon arrival and were the most kind and friendly, helpful family you could hope for. We honestly felt like we were staying in our relatives home or something, that's how well they took care of us and all of our needs. As if all of that wasn't enough, they even went so far as to also help me find a trustworthy babysitter I could hire when needed during my stay, who turned out to be their neighbor, and close family friend. She turned out to also be a doll, and was perfectly capable and trustworthy and wonderful, and they helped facilitate the entire process too. They also were so accommodating with the arranging their cleaning lady to come when we would be out of the house and convenient with our baby's schedule. The above all speaks to how impressed we were at every single level of the quality of care Panos gave us from beginning to end of service! But what I also want to mention was just how charming & special this house really was too! It is a perfect location in Kalamata, prime to all the best beaches, tavernas and attractions! The sunset &ocean views are breathtaking! Clean, safe, well kept and fully equipped. Zero complaints! Forever grateful to Panos!!

Erholung pur!

Unsere Familien-Gruppe bestand aus vier Erwachsenen und einem Kleinkind. Wir haben unseren dreiwöchigen Aufenthalt in der Villa Lena sehr genossen. Sie besteht aus einem das Haus umgebenden, großen, sehr gepflegten Garten mit vielen schattenspendenden Bäumen und der bestens ausgestatteten komfortablen Villa; diese bietet auf zwei Ebenen alles was wir benötigten - einschließlich der Küche, in der wir täglich unsere Mahlzeiten bereiteten. Das Anwesen befindet sich auf einer Klippe zum nahgelegenen Meer und bietet einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Messenische Bucht und Kalamata und die sie umgebenden Gebirgszüge im Hintergrund und abends auf prachtvolle Sonnenuntergänge. 150 m Fußweg zum Steinstrand unterhalb mit nur wenigen, einheimischen, Badenden, das Wasser einladend sauber und warm. An der Straße, an die das Anwesen angrenzt, nahe gelegen zwei preiswerte Food Markets (mit Metzger) für den täglichen Bedarf, Bäcker, Apotheke und Arzt sind auch nicht weit. Der Standort eignet sich gut für Sightseeing und Shopping in Kalamata und für verschiedenste Erkundungstouren in der weiteren Umgebung. Die Eigentümer der Villa, Panos und Lena (wohnhaft in Athen) standen uns telefonisch während unseres Aufenthalts bei verschiedenen Problemen mit Rat und Tat hilfreich zur Seite. Panos war auch so liebenswürdig, uns vom Flughafen abzuholen.

Very good property, noisy location along busy road

Overall we had a pleasant stay at Villa Lena. The owners were very kind, welcoming, good at communicating with us, and the property was well organised, even with some initial freebies (some fruits, bottle of Ouzo). Basics such as soap, oil and vinegar, etc. were there too. The property is lovely and the garden magnificient. Also the garden is surrounded by walls all around so it's very safe for kids. The view of the bay is wonderful. It is not perfect though, a few things to be noted: - The road is noisy. Very noisy in fact, day and night. So although the house looks peaceful, there is constant cars, trucks and motorcycles passing in the background - The third bedroom is a mezzanine inside the second bedroom (no door, just stairs to it). Fine for us as we were a family, but would not work for 3 couples as two couples would sleep pretty much in same room. - The description gives the impression of a semi-private beach available to the house. But it's not really the case. You need to walk 150m along the very busy road (no sidewalk - very dangerous for kids) before going down another 50 meters to a beach mined by sea urchins. So we didn't use that. The Hotel Messinia Bay let us use their swimming pool free of charge for the duration of our stay (we bought a few drinks and dined there once) so the kids loved that. So the house and owners get 5 stars. Then the noise takes it down to 4 stars. And then the innacurate description of the third bedroom and semi-private beach takes it down to 3 stars.

Lovely home with fabulous seaview

Panos, the owner met us close to the villa, and directed us to his lovely home. We arrived late, not aware that he would be driving back to Athens a 3 hr drive! They left some treats and watermelon which was very kind of them especially when we were arriving so late with two boys! . The house is well appointed, and geared for outdoor living, with a lovely massive marble table out in the beautiful gardens. Panos was very receptive to our earlier email questions, and issues such as the coffee maker not working a day after we arrived, and had it replaced immediately. The villa was very clean, well taken care of inside and outside. The small store across the way was wonderful to pick up small items, etc., and helpful in telling us we could park our very large 9 passenger van in the area, rather than trying to deal with trying to turn around on the property, which was hugely helpful. We visited Olympia as well as Stoupa in the area, local coffee shops and restaurants, and the fresh market, which was great to experience and pick up items for our Greek friend, Manos to cook for us! Kalamata was a plesant change from the touristy areas in Greece that we had visited prior to our arrival. The ride from Athens to Kalamata is gorgeous through the mountains, and tunnels, on a wonderful highway, with stopping at Cornith along the way, where the boys saw someone bungee jumping! . Definitely recommend this property to everyone. A great place to return to after a busy day out and about. Great breezes and a relaxing garden to sit in and have dinner with the great sea view looking back to the town of Kalamata with their lights, etc. Very relaxing. .

Villa Lena - a spectacular villa

The property is a spectacular with amazing views in a fascinating area. The villa itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean and filled with everything you could possibly need.The owners are tremendous hosts and they made the holidays very easy for us. A perfect holiday in Kalamata

A beautiful and well equipped house with lots of greenery. Nice garden to enjoy your breakfast and evening drinks under the trees. No concern about kids playground, lots of space to play and enjoy themselves. It is close to Kalamata city, local market and easy to travel to many nice beaches in the area. Panos and Lena made sure that we have eveything we need so as to enjoy our holiday in Greece. Highly recommended!

Perfect oasis

Villa Lena has been our oasis of recreation this summer when we were in Kalamata preparing and celebrating our wedding. It´s a beautiful house with an enormous garden in which you can pick figs right from the trees or barbecue and enjoy the private retreat for one night. There´s is an amazing view on Kalamata bay, and 100 meters away you can find a way down to the cliff coast, where you can enjoy the beach and the sea all by yourself. There´s also a small supermarket across the street that provides all the basics. The house itself had all the equipment we could wish for, was very clean and could be cooled down by air conditioning really fast, which came in handy considering the 35+ degrees during summer time. Pano and Elena had been perfect hosts, very friendly and always at hand when we had questions, they even surprised us with fresh watermelon, ice cream and a minibar, which came for free. Villa Lena has been a perfect place for us to relax this summer and we would be happy to come back. Maria and Fabian

Live can be so easy and beautiful

Without to many words we will say: if you come to the house of Panos and Lena forget everything what was before, just enjoy live. Its looks easy and its not, because it cost hard work for Panos and Lena to keep the high level of her house and garden. They are just fantastic and you can feel it when you come to the house. We had our nicest holidays there and we are traveling a lot - so I will not say more.......just all the best to Panos and Lena !

a wonderful in a nice place - ideal for families

We spent 2 weeks in this wonderful house. It has a wonderful garden, a phantastic view on the sea and is very close to a calm and private beach. The house has a very charming interieur, it is very clean and in a super condition. Thanks to Panos and Lena, who are wonderful hosts and showed us the house in every detail, we could benefit from all the comfortable amenities of the house. We highly recommend it to families and people, who love the benefits of a calm and charming place. It is also ideal for sightseeing on the Peleponnes. Andreas and Marina , Germany

Always a cooling breeze off the Gulf

My family spent a week at the villa in early July. Even with a hot sun and a cloudless sky, the grounds of the villa were comfortable because of the well-placed shade trees. The house was shaded from both the AM and PM sun and the terrace table shaded by a wonderful pine tree where we enjoyed every meal we had at home. This is a cosy, comfortable place where relaxing comes naturally. The property is on the main beach road but very private due to the privacy wall and high trees. Be careful on exiting the property as you don't have much room to poke your nose out and look for oncoming traffic! Steve

The sunset villa

My friend and I stayed at the villa for four nights and were very pleased with the accommodation and cleanliness of the place. Our owners had some basic necessities for us in the fridge upon arrival which we thought was a very nice touch and the market just across the street had all the rest we needed to enjoy our stay. The villa is decorated tastefully and is very comfortable. We do not hesitate to highly recommend this rental. Lena and Panos were very welcoming and available to help us had we needed it. We had a fantastic stay and the last sunset left us wanting more but we unfortunately had to leave… Efharisto Poli

Impeccable house - stunning view!

Hello Panos - thanks again for our week-long stay in your beautiful villa near Kalamata. We loved the house, the sea views were fabulous (watching the dolphins feeding in Kalamata Bay one morning was a real treat), and the garden was a real oasis. We'll remember our morning coffees, our kids collecting rocks from the nearby beach, and sipping wine as we watched the sunsets. Simply great! Thanks as well for being a kind and generous host, and for welcoming us as friends - we hope to return again.
