If you are looking for the perfect vacation home with the absolute best location in the heart of Duck then STOP your search because you have found it! D0597 "Dune Fine" is a 7 bedroom 7.5 bathroom retreat located ocean side with direct access to the beach and features a community sidewalk to keep the kids safe along the way.

This home will accommodate multiple families with tons of amenities to keep everyone entertained. Some of the goodies include the private in-ground pool w/heated option in the spring & fall weeks, the relaxing hot tub, the private volleyball court will help make some fun memories, or get your game on with the basketball goal. And this is just the cherry on top of the Sundae! There are updated flat screen TV's in every bedroom, almost every bedroom has a private bathroom, and the owners have thoroughly updated this beautiful home with a touch of coastal chic. And don't forget the best part of all, the ground level game area where the kids can have their own frig for snacks and drinks plus a Foosball table.

What else are you supposed to do during you week of fun in the sun, how about stroll into Duck for some of the best local cuisine in the Outer Banks or some shopping at one of the specialty boutiques. Great Location!

This house was perfect! Our group of 4 families had plenty of space in the house and it was very convenient that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The location is perfect just 5 min walk to beach and 10 min walk to downtown Duck. I recommend renting a golf cart to make it easy to get around. My only suggestion would be moving the grill up to the top level balcony closer to the kitchen.

We're planning to spend a week here next summer too.

I slipped on the steps and severely bruised my side. I had a vet large contusion that is still healing. Adding a rail should be a priority

Main living area needs help

Furniture in living room needs replaced , not comfortable and cushions worn out. Beach theme not an excuse for worn out dining tables chairs . Very nice chairs outside and plenty of them. Pool and area around were very nice. Paint the fence around the pool. We had a very good time, great location. Lots of games and a great selection of books to read

Wonderful property!

This was our 4th visit to Duck and this house was our favorite so far! It was easily walkable to the beach every day and to downtown Duck as well. All the great restaurants, bars and shops were within walking distance. The house was very clean and well-maintained. It's so common for beach rental property furniture to seem worn out but this definitely was not. The furniture (indoor and outdoor) were great quality and the beds were very comfortable! The pool and hot tub were great as well. Having 2 refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers were a great touch in such a large house. We used all of them! The only downside was the timing of check-in, though we expected it could be late after reading the reviews. We hung out in Duck all day waiting for our notification the house was ready, and as other reviewers have mentioned, we didn't receive our notification until almost 6 pm, which seems very late.....too late to make dinner the first night and of course that's the busiest night for takeout and restaurants. Plan accordingly but the rest of the week was wonderful!

Lovely location with problems

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time here and loved the location and the house. There were a couple of problems though. The listing of beds was wrong (one of the listed queens was a king) which caused problems since we brought our own linens. The bigger problem was that one of the queen mattresses was badly stained with what looked like blood, there was no mattress cover and the mattress had springs poking up. This made one of the bedrooms uninhabitable. Unfortunately, Beach Realty was not able to fix the problem (nor did they communicate very well about it) so one of the couples had an uncomfortable stay. This unfixed issue, as well as the significant price increase made us decide to not rent the house next year.

Spacious home, great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely stay at Dune Fine in April. It is spacious -- everyone in our family had their own room and we didn't even need the first floor bedrooms. We did not use the pool (too early in the season) and wound up not using the hot tub either so can't speak to either of those. It is a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood clubhouse. Keyless entry was great because we never had to ask whether someone had grabbed a key each time we left the house. Some thoughts if you are staying at Dune Fine: Bring beach chairs or rent from one of the local companies -- they are not provided with the home. Plenty of plates, cups, bowls, silverware, etc. at the house but we brought our own teflon grill and were glad we did. Some of the mattresses are stiff -- other reviewers have noted the same. The coffee makers work but wouldn't be surprised if they need to get replaced this year. Plenty of deck chairs at the pool and on the top-level deck. Very close -- walkable -- to Red Sky Cafe, Roadhouse Grill, Duck Donuts, Tullio's, Sound Feet Shoes, etc. but you'll want to bike or drive to go to Winks or the Waterfront Shops. The clubhouse has a second floor with a few treadmills, two ellipticals and two bikes, also limited dumbbells. The net on the tennis court was down while we were there so did not use the court. This was our first time renting through Beach Realty and they were great. We had a good experience with them -- much better customer service than that unnamed rental company that dominates the local market. Beach Realty was responsive and attentive. One final note: Beach Realty offers a veterans discount. I did not realize that until after our stay but will take advantage next time we rent from them.

Dune Fine - Great Location and Layout

The layout of the house is great with bedrooms on each level all with their own bathroom. The pool and jacuzzi add more fun and relaxation. Two washer/dryers, refrigerators, and dishwashers very handy with large group. House was clean. Shower curtain liners in some bathrooms need replacement. Had clogged bathtub drain which management service cleared right away. Great response to minor issues. Dune Fine great house if visiting OBX. Village Table & Tavern and NC Coast Grill & Bar great restaurants and perfect spots for sunset viewing.

Great House Awful Check In

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was fantastic. It well cleaned and kept and the location was outstanding. I was very pleased with the amenities with the exception of the grill. It really needs to be replaced with something newer. The grill grate looks terrible and burners don’t cook evenly. It wasn’t a big deal but it stood out.A more significant problem was with checking in. I was told that there was no early entry and that the home would be ready at 4pm. The Friday before check we were notified that unless we paid for early check in the home would be ready between 4-6 pm. Sure enough the house wasn’t cleaned and inspected until 6pm. It was a huge inconvenience coming off a long drive and having young children and elderly parents in our group. I was very disappointed with that initial experience.
