Awesome vacation house!

Jewel of Denial

We stayed in this home August 16 through August 23. Our stay was excellent. The location of the home was great. A short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Having a crib and high chair was an added bonus for us. The beds were comfortable. Our family enjoyed our stay in Duck very much.

Amazing home. We enjoyed Jewel of Denial

Our stay at Jewel of Denial was wonderful. The whole family enjoyed it. The home had everything we could want. The beds were comfortable,, the kitchen well stocked, and the pool was great, as well as the hot tub. The location was a quick walk to the beach as well as getting into town. Having a crib and high chair was convenient. I would love to be able to return next year

Great home!! We had 17 people stay very comfortably.. Home was spacious with 8 bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, outdoor pool& hot tub, large kitchen, dining area, family room, a game room with a kitchen, TV's in all of the rooms, fireplace, family room, with extra 3rd level sitting area, huge dining room table which fit around 15 or 16 people, 2 high chairs , a crib , a great location.. Close to both clubhouses& to the beach. Lots of amenities in this community.. walking distance to the cute town of Duck.. it was wonderful & perfect for our family!!

Amazing beach week

We could never have imagined a more beautiful beach home to spend a week in with our 15 family members! There is so much room on three levels with a small loft just off the kitchen. This was wonderful for doing devotions, reading and quiet time. The fantastic kitchen is overly equipped for every single need. We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed the 14 person table for meals and game nights. Having 2 dishwashers was a dream! All adults had king bed rooms and full baths decorated so nicely. Every bedroom was stocked well, sheets on beds made up except 2 upper bunks which was stated in the information. The lower level was perfect for our younger grandchildren. Everyone loved the pool and hot tub. We charcoaled grilled one night for burgers and dogs. The kids walked the short walk to the beach and into the township of Duck to shop. Location, location, locationđŸ„° The house provided beach chairs, outdoor water for showering after the beach . To top it off, the AIR CONDITIONER was well powered for the house keeping a consistent temperature. That was a blessing! There is nothing but rave reviews from this family. We would love to return some day!

The house was fabulous! All 14 family members had a terrific stay. Very well stocked with dishes and decent cookware. We have no complaints. If we could change anything we would swap one of the 2 dishwashers for an extra oven/stove but we took turns cooking and realize most people eat out on vacation. We will definitely book through Shoreline OBX on our next trip!

Family Reunion

Property location is excellent. Some of the furnishings are older and could be replaced, but are serviceable. The pool person left a note that she had to interrupt her service and would return to complete work shortly. That was Saturday. We called and left a message without response. On Tuesday, we contacted VRBO and by Wednesday the pool had been cleaned and prepared for use. Still, this was one of the better homes we rented at the Outer Banks.

The house was nice but we had a lot of issues. TVs were broken, mold covering our bathroom shower curtain, broken outlets that were very loose (dangerous), and the pool lady was extremely rude and never showed back up mid week to clean the pool again.

Amazing vacation home!

This was the most perfect home we could have asked for during our vacation to the Outer Banks. We traveled with 4 families, 15 of us total (8 adults and 7 kids). Everything about the house accommodated our group perfectly. The kitchen/dining area fit everyone comfortably for meals, and the 8 adults could all sit on the couches in the living room to watch TV with plenty of space. The kids had their own space downstairs with a kitchenette, full fridge, TV, and foosball table. The kitchen has every dish and cooking utensil you could possibly need, including a crock pot. There are plenty of dishes and silverware for large groups, and having 2 dishwashers made clean up easy at the end of each meal. The house was incredibly clean and very comfortable with central air. We used the pool and hot tub every day, it was nice that some floats and pool noodles were provided for our use. There are also 9 beach chairs and some boogie boards for guests to use. The beach is not too far from the house, but it was very hot and humid which made it an uncomfortable walk. If you’re able, I would highly recommend renting a golf cart and/or using a rental company that will set up umbrellas and chairs for you on the beach each day. There are 2 bikes at the house, which are a great option for riding in to town. I would 100% stay here again!

This is a nice property. No significant problems. It was well maintained and clean. A few things that could help. 1) more towels 2) driveway is awkward. It needs to be twice as wide at the street level. It’s a massive house and more parking is needed for the modern family. 3) Trash cans need to be periodically cleaned. They smelled worse than usual and there were innumerable fly maggots

Perfect for a Family Vacation that includes Grandparents, Parents and grandchildren

We have not missed a family vacation that is all inclusive of our children and our grandchildren that spans over 45 years. This location provides ample space for everyone to enjoy the entire stay whether it be swimming, playing yard games, reading or resting! It was a fabulous time for all.

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful time celebrating a family reunion with 6 different families, 19 in total and 7 who were 3 and under. The space allowed for sufficient room for all of us to share the time together while also enjoying the backyard pool and beach nearby. We were close to downtown Duck that allowed us easy access for quick night pizza and ice cream runs.

Family Getaway

This place was perfect and like the description and pictures posted! We ran into a little problem with one of the ac units not working and the owner was so apolgetic and quick to get us window units to help until the problem was remedied. Overall we all loved this place, the location and all the details the owners have thought of to make your stay perfect. Book this place, you won't regret it!

Wonderful Home - Great Location

Out of all the homes in OBX that we have stayed in this home was by far the cleanest. I was a little concerned about the carpet when we booked, but everything was extremely well maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked, and had a large CrockPot in addition to numerous pots and pans. The living space offered lots of room for our family to relax at night. The house is well located so that you can walk a few blocks to the community outdoor pool and beach- or a slightly longer walk into Duck. A couple of things I wish were different- the pool area is very small and felt confined at times. The house was also very loud- DO NOT stay in the bedroom on the top floor if you want to go to sleep before everyone else. You can literally hear everything going on in the living room/kitchen area. Also, there was a mild hurricane when we were there and the wind in that bedroom was VERY loud. But the other bedrooms you didn't hear the wind as much, so sleeping in them during a storm is probably more ideal.

FUN VACATION STAY

THIS PLACE IS DEFINATELY A JEWEL!!! Lots and lots of room for multi family and spaced for privacy, when you want to spend some free time alone, there are lots of spots inside to sneak off to!!! The club house, indoor pool, and weight rooms, are an added convenience!!! Our family loved it there!!

Great Vacation Home!

This home was outstanding! Very well appointed , very clean, comfortable beds and everything possibly needed was included and labeled! The carpeting reduced the noise level in the house and provided a softer landing for our toddlers. The shuttle trolley was awesome! We took advantage of having bikes/kayak delivered which was convenient. We loved the Four Seasons neighborhood too! Would definitely rent here again!
