Wonderful property!

Beautiful house on 15 acres - you feel like you are all alone with the elk and chipmunks - but it's also close to lots of great outdoor activities. This was our second time at the property and we will be back!

Beautiful area, enjoyed the wildlife (deer, elk & turkey) each evening out back. The home was as listed & the host was very responsive.

Just as described. Beautiful home and property. Close to the ski area. You will need all terrain tires or chains if it snows or is icy.

Outstanding Property!

Beautiful house and great property! We spent several days enjoying the many nearby outdoor activities. But this place is great for just hanging out as well. Spent a day reading on the porch watching the elk, deer, chipmunks and hummingbirds. The 15 acres gives you plenty of room to roam and also makes you feel as if you are all by yourself in the mountains.

Altitude Adjustment was everything we hoped for and more. We were a little worried about visiting outside of peak snow season, but the property absolutely delivered—there were still hidden snowy hills for the kids to play on, plus so much space for exploring the forest right on the land. It truly felt like our own private mountain escape.The home itself is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly set up to enjoy the views. Sitting on the deck and spotting wild turkey and elk was such a highlight—it’s the kind of experience you just don’t get staying closer to the resort.The location was ideal: tucked away enough to give that peaceful, true mountain-home feel, but still close enough for easy daily trips to Angel Fire Resort. It also made the perfect starting and ending point for our Enchanted Circle drive.Every one of my kids is already asking when we can go back—that says it all. We can’t say enough good things about this place. Easily 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone looking for a special mountain getaway.

Fall Get Away

The house was even better than we expected. We came for a relaxing week, and it was perfect. We walked the property (Be sure to look for the log tepee), enjoyed the wildlife and enjoyed our time together. Cheryl was wonderful. A text was answered immediately, and any small issue or question was answered. There was a short electrical outage in the area, so we enjoyed our dinner by the new propane firepit on the upper deck. The moon and stars among the pines was beautiful. That even added to the pleasure of our visit. We would certainly rent from them again.

Just perfect

My whole family was in town to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. My husband, daughter, her boyfriend and my aunt and uncle stayed at Altitude Adjustment for the long weekend. It was a beautiful property. Everything was clean and in order and there was plenty of room. We had a little trouble with the door and the owners responded quickly. Thank you for everything! A little note, the lights in the guest bath on the main floor are mostly out. Not a big deal, you just may want to check it.

The communication was great, right away via text the property manager would respond; and she was nice. The property is extremely quiet, I love the solitude, you can smell the pine trees and hear the the sound the wind makes blowing between the trees. I bought a hummingbird feeder, cleaned it out and left it in the pantry. Please feed the hummingbirds, they are incredible, they will get so close to you. and they are stunning, and so many of them. We grabbed and blanket and just sat with them in the morning. We were there in July, there is no air conditioning and was hot, but opening the windows makes a huge difference. But was 79 degrees when we wanted to go to bed, I slept downstairs, was so much cooler, felt like an air conditioner down there with the windows open, the cool mountain air, I loved it. A really incredible property.

This was the perfect spot for our Father's Day weekend getaway. The property was nice, incredibly clean, and offered a wonderful, secluded view that completely met our goal for privacy. The kids had a blast playing the games provided and exploring the outdoor property. It is also perfectly centralized, making it easy to visit Angel Fire, Eagle Nest, Red River, and Taos. We loved the nice, fluffy pillows, and while the bed ran a bit firm for my personal taste (I love a soft bed), it was absolutely perfect for my husband. We truly enjoyed our stay!
