Our stay at the Guest House was overall enjoyable. We really enjoyed the side deck with its nice shade tree and the many deer that grazed through the large clear landing leading down to the lake.The house fit our needs for size and comfort and we enjoyed some of the eclectic decor and unique elements in the home.There were a few oddities, lack of trash bags, broken can opener, no dish soap - I wonder if the house just didn't get properly restocked after the previous stay. Since shopping was close by, it was simple to get what we needed, but would suggest a closer review of what is being provided for the next guests.

A great outdoor family vaca

I loved it family stay for the 4th of July, we got to see deer on property the fishing was great. The property manager was amazing she was there anytime we had questions or needed anything. 10/10 we will be going back.

Lake Fork fishing

Nice 4 bedroom, 2 bath house for 4 fishermen to stay at. It had most everything we needed. Plenty of parking for trucks and boats. The only things that would have made it better would have been if at least 1 of the 2 decks had been covered. It also needed a grill cleaning brush and tools.

Peaceful and worth it

If you like quiet, this is the place. Bring a boat to use on the lake. Comfortable beds, spacious home, large yard for activities, and all the stuff that comes with it is like being at home. Not disappointed.

Nice and peaceful place but house needed more cleaning

The place and locality were amazing. But the house needed more cleaning. Basic toiletries were missing, bathroom door was not locking.

The homeowner wanted to address some of your comments to provide further context:- We allowed you to check in a few hours early at no additional cost, and we were still finishing some preparations when you arrived.- We did supply toiletries multiple times during your stay, including refilling toilet paper and paper towels beyond the standard allotment for a weekend stay. - The bathroom door does lock, but it requires being pulled fully closed to engage properly.Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Great Location

This home was in a great location for us and it fit our family perfectly with the four bedrooms. We were in town for a family function and this home served as a great home base for us. There are two decks off this home. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck to gaze out at the lake and the many deer on the property. The guest house we stayed in is part of an rv park, but it is tucked away from the park and the view from this deck made it seem like we had the property to ourselves. There is a gas grill on the front deck that we used multiple times. The house itself provided shade after 6pm that was helpful in the August heat. The mattresses were very comfortable inside, combine this with the a/c and ceiling fans and we all slept very well. My husband fished off the dock a few times and we all enjoyed watching the sunsets from the dock as well. This property has a boat ramp too, though we did not take advantage of that amenity. The grandkids enjoyed the games that are provided in the house, and the large dining table was great for us too for dinners and for chitchatting when it got too hot outside. Finally, I appreciated having a washer and dryer so I could come home with freshly laundered clothes. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here making family memories.
