Freshly renovated 4 season log style cottage. Multiple level decking with private views across Chemong lake. 2 bedroom 1 bathroom naturally well-lit cottage can accommodate 6. This kid friendly location has fishing off the dock and a charming fire pit just off the deck. We are located 15 minutes from Peterborough.
From a beautiful morning cup of coffee on the deck to a gorgeous night sky for stargazing this cottage will create incredible memories that will last a lifetime!

That’s disappointing. As a host I take pride in leaving a clean and fully stocked house (coffee appliances, condiments and water activities, etc). I was disappointed when I got to my place I found shards of glass in my couch cushions.

Accommodations were too notch! Rooms, bathroom and living areas were clean and very presentable. The view across the lake was to die for especially during sunrise and sunset. Would strongest suggest for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Our family of three had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location was beautiful with an amazing view of the lake from the kitchen and living room. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need to prepare a meal. The neighborhood was very quiet and allowed for a peaceful retreat. We had fun taking the paddle boat out on the lake and lounging around on the deck. The only thing I can think of that would have made it even better was that there was no opportunity to just jump off the dock to swim as there are soo many weeds along the whole shoreline due to the location. There was however, a beach within driving distance. Jennifer was very helpful and quick with responding to any questions. We would definitely return to this location.

We absolutely loved our week by the lake. It was a wonderful way to rest, relax, and unwind during our final week of summer vacation as a family, and we were so lucky to have perfect weather!The cottage was a good size for the five of us, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked - this was great for preparing family meals, which we enjoyed on the outdoor deck overlooking the water! The BBQ worked great and was such a convenient addition.The host was very responsive to all my questions and super friendly. We found the waterfront a little weedy, but we had enough floaties and paddleboards to take us out a bit so we could enjoy a weed-free swim - and the water was particularly warm! The cottage also has a paddleboard and other fun water toys if you don't have your own.There were so many outdoor spots to enjoy, both in the sun and in the shade. We spent countless hours outside during the day and at night (by the fire!). While you feel like you’re away from it all, you’re still super close to amenities and can easily stock up on anything you might need. There’s also a delicious ice cream place within a five-minute drive!Great find!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage with nice views of the lake! The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped with supplies including seasonings, tea/coffee, sugar, all manner of pots/bowls and large purified water jugs with a cool battery-operated pump. Each bedroom had a dresser and at least one had hooks on the door. The outdoors had a number of decks with stairs (one had a covered area),a ground area with chairs around a fire pit and access to the water down below. The dock was not set up due to the season. We would definitely stay here again!

Chemong Lake Cottage

Very close to all amenities either at Bridgenorth or a short drive to Peterborough. Clean, air-conditioned (thank goodness with the heatwave); comfortable beds, large screen TV, lots of outside deck areas to lounge around including a good dock for any boats 16' or under. BRAND NEW BBQ as well!

Great cottage and location

Clean, up to date cottage with central location to tour the Kwartha area. The view of the lake is wonderful and we enjoyed seeing ducks and swans and various weather patterns reflected in the water. Good heating system for these chilly days!

Experience we will always remember

The host gave perfect instructions how to get in, she also left some goodies. She provided games that our kids could play. Also the kayaks, lily pad etc. Everything that i ended up forgetting was there so it was perfect. My girls loved it so much and feeding the fishes and ducks. We all didnt want to leave.

Wonderful.

Despite density of lakeside houses, it was blissfully quiet. Great location near Peterborough, perfectly optimized between bucolic lake and amenities near town (Central Smith Creamery, Hard Winter Bakery, kayaking Peterborough lift locks). Perfect Dense star gazing at night with Milky Way disk edge brilliantly clear. Stars are notable. If you like stairs, this has plenty and they lead to different deck levels, so you can choose your favorite sunrise, sunset, lunch, dinner or relaxing location. If your have mobility challenges, the stairs might pose a challenge. For us, it was no problem and added to the character of the property. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. It is not a fancy or glamorous modern stylish place, it is a lake house, and it works just fine if that if what you are seeking.

Tranquil retreat

Our stay was quiet and relaxing which is what we were looking for. We wished the water access was better with not so much seaweed and rocks but overall the water views are stunning. Our flotation device had a hole in it, the owner was quick to reply when messaged about it but unfortunately we didn't get another one during our stay. We did use the inflatable kayak which was fun! The listing noted a spa tub and fire extinguisher which we did not find. The bar-b-q needed a good cleaning from previous use. We noted it has some holes in the bottom so caution if you are using it, please stay close by it just in case. The cottage is air-conditioned which was great but it did keep freezing up so every so often we had to shut it off then restart it later. We did notify the owner about this. Overall a great cottage with wonderful views, very quiet and relaxing. It was clean and beds were comfortable. It had lots of things you may need such as dishes, dishwasher, soap, towels, linens etc. As mentioned, there are a few things that could be tended to but happy with our stay. The owner was pleasant and very responsive when messaged. Thanks you for a quiet relaxing stay at your tranquil retreat!

Our property is unique because it is a secluded bay on chemong lake. The quietness of the lake brings security for our kids to swim safely in the lake, as well as being able to see them kayak/ canoe or paddle board anywhere in the bay.
