We rented this for an overflow of a large blended family vacation. Very clean, you could not really see the water well, and 2nd bath is in an unfished basement (bathroom is finished}. A very basic home, it was great for our needs.

Quiet location with a view of the bayou. Cottage is older but clean and well supplied. Kids had fun catching bass and bluegill from the dock. Joe is a great host very helpful and friendly.

The house was just as pictured. Very clean and neat with a well equipped kitchen! Great location, very short walk to the water and the addition of the access to kayaks was convenient. Definitely recommend!

The house is well stocked with kitchen equipment, towels and everything you need. The location is very peaceful. We enjoyed the lake area and firepit.

Great Place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a great location. The Bayou was pretty and quiet. We were able to walk down and catch fish every morning and evening. The home was more than sufficient for the five of us full grown men. I slept on the futon and it was plenty comfy for me. I slept great!The only downside was the shower. It's a walk-in style, handicap shower and isn't an ideal showering experience. Other than that, everything was terrific! Would recommend for sure!

Owner was next door. Very respectful of our privacy, kind and friendly.It wasn’t clear on the website that the second bathroom was in the basement which was very musty smelling.The outside accommodations like the fishing cleaning station and the kayaks had spiders webs all over them.Being in the bayou was especially nice being of calm waters and quieter which was what we wanted.Mattresses needed to be replaced in both bedrooms.

This was a perfect boys weekend getaway. Took my son, his best friend and his dad up here to do some fishing. We caught salmon on the big lake, fished Hamlin lake for some perch, and caught a ton of bluegill of the dock at the cabin. The place was clean and had all the outdoor amenities you could want. It was nice to see the boys spend every moment outside fishing, climbing trees, and playing by the dock. Will definitely be back!

Very peaceful

The location is perfect, very quiet. It is an older house but well kept, the kitchen has all you need to cook a meal. We loved the fire pit outside, and appreciated the fish cleaning station by the lake. The only downside is that second bathroom was in the basement and since we were two couples there were multiple trips downstairs, but it's minor. The host is very friendly and ready to help you. We had a wonderful time
