Great vacation

Great little house in a really fun neighborhood, everything you need to have a great beach vacation and no need to leave the neighborhood. Loved the pier and the access to the sound.

Easy rental process

I enjoyed my stay. The house was clean and fully stocked with what is needed for a week at the beach. My only suggestion - consider adding a patio table to the property. It would be nice to be able to take meals outside on the deck.

Property was clean and set up as expected. Did not know it was a second level unit, probably would have chosen something on lower level for my senior parents. Overall great experience.

The perfect place

Everything about this property was perfect. There was plenty of room for my wife and me. It was clean and comfortable. The deck was nice with a combination of sun and shade. The beach was close and access was easy. We ordered Instacart several times. No need for us to take time to grocery shop. We definitely staying here again.

Location was amazing! Only 5 min walk to beach in a great neighborhood.

Home was cute and tidy just a little outdated. The musty odor upon arrival was not good. One bathtub was clogged. The washer/dryer very loud. And WiFi very poor. Otherwise we enjoyed the beach and area very much so.

The inside was very nice and clean. The outside was very messy. The outdoor furniture was unusable as the chairs were broken and covered in mold. The garage has a terrible smell. Maybe should be check. We enjoyed the stay.

Tranquility

This is the second time we stayed here and it’s dingier than before. There are items that need to be cleaned or replaced. The chairs and sofa need cleaning. If the owners use a cleaning service they were a bit lacking this time. Dust behind doors and other things that seemed it wasn’t used for awhile. These are just suggestions for the owners. It was nice to stay there just the same.

Quiet, small town feel.

We enjoyed our stay here in Late September 2021. It had adequate amenities including kitchen supplies, cookware, dishes, etc. The appliances seem like they were new. And you were given plenty of starting out supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, and hand soap. This was a cute little place and was walking distance from a public beach access. The only thing negative I have to say about the facility was you can tell that it was an older property and that it possibly had received storm damage it sometime in the past. It still needs a little bit of work like painting and like, and hopefully the property managers will fix that soon. Will stay again.

Great location but could use a few improvements

We have been coming to Navarre for 10 plus years and this was our second time staying at this property. You cannot beat the location. The beach access is super close and not crowded at all as compared to the beach area around condos. The house is comfortable but could use some love. Pretty simple updates could really help this little house out. I noticed not many changes had been made from last year to this year except for a few added decor pieces and the carpet had been changed out for what I believe was linoleum throughout the house. Last year the master bathroom shower door was broken and it was still broken this year. The kitchen was missing a cutting board and doesn't have a Keurig. We remembered this from last time so we brought our own, but simple things like that are overlooked at this house. We also noticed that the air conditioner didn't keep the master bedroom and bathroom as cool as the rest of the house. We had some trouble with Southern Vacation Rentals who manages this property our very first day. The battery on the keypad to get into the house died and we were locked out! It was late at night, our kids were cranky and hungry, and instead of being helped right away, the customer service rep gave us the run around for about an hour. To our dismay, there was no one on the island with a key so a locksmith had to be called! That took another hour. The next day, we were visited by a Southern Vacation rep and a manager called later in the week and we were compensated, but it really could have been avoided if more attention was paid to the updates of this rental like an updated keypad. All in all, this is a fantastic location in a wonderful neighborhood, but a little paint, updates to the kitchen and bathrooms, etc. could really turn this rental into something really nice.

Great location within walking distance to beach and community sound beach/pier.

Awesome location. House was good. There are some opportunities the landlord could take advantage of with the property that I would have preferred to see such as making the outdoor space out back more inviting, arranging the furniture a little differently to make it more accessible and possibly open to more guests. The biggest issue was the house wasn't stocked. . . well at all aside from a few towels, dishes, and pans. It would have been more enjoyable with basic items like more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, more than 2 dishwasher pods to use when we booked it for 5 nights, rugs to wipe our feet on when we enter the property (floor felt sticky all over when we got there), more than one dish towel, salt and pepper or any spices to use, etc. That's what we typically find when we rent a VRBO. When we contacted the property manager about the lack of dish soap, we were told that's our responsibility to bring dish soap and all other basic stuff most homes have. Would I rent it again?. . maybe but I'd look for alternatives first.

Wish I could have stayed longer

Main floor was very nice and definitely renovated nicely. Only used one bedroom and the bed was comfortable. Space was very good and open throughout. There was a musty/ mildew smell when I arrived (not uncommon near beach). The second night it got stronger. I contacted the property manager and they had someone come in for a few hours while I didn’t have to be at property and use something. It did minimize the smell. I didn’t use the garage, it was small and it had a smell in it as well. Overall, I loved my visit and would stay again. The issues brought to their attention they were responsive. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Had a very relaxing time. Just what we needed to slow down for a bit. Short distance from the beach and the pool was great. Enjoyed both.
