The view is truly a million-dollar view — and that’s what brought us here and made the stay worthwhile. Being at Sleeping Bear Dunes with that scenery right outside the window is hard to beat -- especially at sunset. That said, the house itself felt more like a 2-star hotel than a vacation rental. It’s very dated and could really use some upgrades. Honestly, if the owners leaned all the way into the 1960s retro vibe, it could be charming and intentional, but right now it just feels tired. The bedding and towels were nice, and the place was overall clean, which we appreciated. As other reviews have mentioned, there really isn’t a central gathering space in the condo. The living area is quite small, so more than four people would feel crowded. It’s a place that works better as a home base for enjoying the area than as a space where a larger group can comfortably hang out together. If you want to be on the beach all day and crash here, ok.There were also some basic maintenance and service issues. The TV didn't work, and the sound was spotty. I reached out to the manager about the issues but never received a response, which was disappointing. We came primarily for the view, and it absolutely delivered. Just don’t expect a fancy or particularly polished stay. It’s a shame because the location and view are exceptional, and with some thoughtful updates, better attention to the basic amenities, and more responsive communication, this place could be something really special.
