The lake view was perfect! The property is very secluded. It’s about a 20 minute drive into town. Being on a private road on the lake was peaceful and quiet. We were disappointed that the kayak had no seats and there were no life jackets. That’s one of the reasons we chose this property so it was a bummer not to go on the water. There is a canoe but without the life jackets the water was a little scary. Read what’s included. Bring soap because the hand soaps are all pretty empty and watered down. Overall nice place. Living room and dining area very spacious. Bed is firm but we didn’t mind. Property is within walking distance to the vanishing river cruise which is a must!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review. We are working with our local representative on the issues you mentioned. The hand soaps have been replaced with new ones. There were four life preservers on site and no one knows what has happened to them but four new ones are ordered (two adult, two youth) and they should be there this week. Likewise I am not sure what happened to the kayak seat; we are working to find a replacement.

We loved this little hidden gem. Beautiful sprawling views and excellent fishing. We will definitely be back.

Private lakefront location

The location was perfect. It was right on Lake Buchanan with beautiful lake views right off the balcony. The location was very private and quiet with all of the amenities of home.

Peaceful water view

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well stocked. We thought the bed was firm but super comfy. When we weren’t out on our boat we were on the patio overlooking the lake. The water splashing on the shore was very relaxing. We saw lots of deer and birds.

I really love the location, very very quiet and on the water, it was too cold to fish for us but the closeness of the water was good. The place was clean but I did not like the bed it was hard and the pillows need to be replaced with new the bedding sheets were also worn. We slept on top of the comforter aside from that we did enjoy our time there.

We enjoyed the house, it’s nice but we ran out of hand soap, dish soap, and kept losing internet. We had to buy paper towels because there was a scant amount on the roll when we got there. We wasn’t able to access the waterfront due to huge logs, trash and trees that have washed up. It’s too much for us to try and clean up just to get in with a kayak. Our dog kept getting sticker burs in her paws from the grown up weeds in the yard. My husband did fix the gas grill from a previous tenant that used charcoal in it. It does work and it’s clean now. The propane tanks were empty so we had to go into town to get one. The nice host did reimburse us for that. The stovetop was dirty and we did find that cleaner and so we got it looking new again. There are no cleaning supplies there so we wasn’t really able to clean but with water. Usually all that stuff is available so that was a bit frustrating!We really feel like we paid too much for all the trouble inconveniences we encountered. We left a day early since some of the stated amenities were not available or accessible.
