The place was very clean and well laid out. It had all the amenities we needed and there was plenty of space for the six of us. Had a nice walking path and just a short drive to downtown.

Thank you for your review. So glad you took advantage of the rustic walking path to the woods! We have an abundance of wildlife, turkey, deer, fox, rabbits, and lots of birds. I hope you were lucky enough to see some of the local wildlife and maybe take some pictures too!

Great weekend getaway spot

Tranquil property with a short distance to downtown Monroe. Great setup for guests and very responsive hosts! Would definitely stay again.

Quiet Farm House

Although not huge, we loved this little farm place and would happily stay there again. It was very clean and close to town… but still far enough away to make it feel like you were in the middle of nowhere.

Lovely Wisconsin farm home set in the rolling hills of Monroe, WI, Updates and interior improvements make all the rooms especially welcoming and totally comfortable. While the farm itself has been "retired", the property shined to my wife and our guests when we walked about well tended outdoor walking paths. Home furnishings are first class. The complete kitchen encouraged family gatherings whether for dining or games. We all enjoyed the abundance of towels, silverware, cooking and dining settings for our cooking projects. We brought our bikes for this summertime VRBO visit, and we enjoyed riding the nearby Badger Trail and Sugar River Trails. Both trailheads are easily accessible by car using Wisconsin DNR trail maps. And, the City of Monroe and Green County, WI are visitor friendly/family friendly in every respect. Of all the VRBO properties we've visited over the years, the Wisconsin Farmhouse Stay is the best for accuracy of property information, owner/guest rapport, comfort, and overall value.

I like entry code is last 4 digits of cell. A nice safety feature. Very comfortable seating for the 5 of us and each of us had our own bed. Kitchen well supplied with a very generous coffee bar. Kim and family were very helpful and went out of the way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, even to the point of going to buy black out curtains for bedroom by security light outside. We had snow fall. It was shoveled and plowed in a timely manner. We would definitely stay at this quaint family farm in the future as it is a halfway meeting point for us. Garage has ample firewood that we would like to have a bonfire next time. Make sure to check at the local shops on the Monroe Square. Vince’s Italian & The Pink Heifer.
