Beautiful custom built cedar cottage with sandy cove and beach on Lake Michigan!

My family and I built this cottage with our own hands, custom designing everything to make our annual trips to the lake as unforgettable and enjoyable as possible. The views are unbelievable and the location is unbeatable. While a very modern cottage, the styling and finishes are quaint northern Michigan - from cedar siding and decks milled on Drummond island and Michigan red pine ceilings and flooring to the beautiful custom concrete countertops.

Amenities: This fairly new, custom construction on 100' of private Lake Michigan waterfront was completed in 2014, with cedar siding, knotty pine interior, and rustic northern Michigan cottage charm. A private outdoor shower off of the deck with hot water is available to rinse off any sand after a refreshing dip in the clear lake or sunbathing on the beach. On the side of the house is a charcoal smoker/grill, and full dining table is on the cedar deck. Great game room in the lower level, including pool table, foosball table, and tv with Chromecast. High speed internet and desk (in master bedroom) with monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Enjoy the beautiful, amazing sunsets and the sandy swimming cove for swimming in the clear, pure Lake Michigan. Our cottage very comfortably sleeps up to 8 in 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 fulls, 4 twins); pac-n-play is also available with high speed internet. There is easy beach access with private dune trail including less than10 stairs. Wonderful location on a private, dead-end street with no houses across the street, and a short walk to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The trail to the dunes starts across the road. There is a coffee maker, all modern appliances including dishwasher in fully furnished kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, full size washer and dryer in the utility room. There is a large deck for outdoor eating and relaxing, with gorgeous view of the beach below. Two of the three bedrooms have direct Lake Michigan and have sliders off of the upper cedar deck.

Location: walking distance to dunes and thousands of acres of hiking through woods and over sand. Short drive to Pentwater (for shopping and restaurants), Silver Lake (for go-karts, mini golf, bumper boats, zip line, roller coaster, shopping, Mac Woods Dune rides, etc.), or Hart (groceries, restaurants, etc.).

There is much to do in the area including golfing, wine tastings, blueberry picking, taking the kids to local farms including Lewis Farms a favorite in the area. There are fun places to go hiking, go biking (bring your own), star gazing, enjoying a campfire, tubing down a river, climbing the local Lighthouse, swimming in Silver Lake, walking the pier in Pentwater, enjoying the nature, birds, etc.
