Great place! We brought our canoe and went out daily using the convenient dock. Clean, comfortable and we appreciated the downstairs bedroom and bath so our adult kids could have privacy upstairs. Host was very easy to work with when we asked for different check-in/check-out times.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect home for our daughter’s wedding weekend! All the bridesmaids were able to stay in one place. The house was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. The waterfront setting and outdoor areas were beautiful and provided plenty of space for everyone to gather and enjoy time together.

We had a lovely time! The weather even cooperated when we spent our day in Shipshewana! The house is clean and comfortable. In the April weather the heat kicked on while we were sleeping so we were toasty when we got up in the morning. I strongly suggest anyone considering the property to go for it. In a few weeks it will be patio weather and you can enjoy the lovely lakefront view. Thanks to Sara and Evolve.Cheryl, Allison, and Christina (Advice: always make getaway time with your adult daughters! Memories)

Wonderful stay. Living space and kitchen were well appointed. Bathrooms.were.spacious, but an extra towel rack or hooks upstairs would be helpful. Kayaks and fire pit were great. There is no sandy entrance to the water and it was kind of weedy/mucky, so swimming at the lakeside was not doable.

Great stay

We truly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was super clean and comfy. Nicely equipped.Con: bottom staircase step is a little treacherous. Canoe lining is loose and dangerous. We are already planning to come back!

Great getaway

Property was as listed. It was clean and had everthing we needed. While the lake wasn't the cleanest of lakes kids still enjoyed swimming a little and loved the kayaks. Don't have a single complaint.

Relaxing weekend stay

Great place, listing was accurate. We stayed with 6 friends for relaxing and fun weekend. Plenty of room in living room and big table for gathering around to play games. House was very clean. Weather was very hot, but A/C worked well. Nice big tree provided shade outside. Good view of lake. Pellet grill onsite that works great. Beds were all comfortable. King bed and upstairs floors were 'squeaky' Quick responce from host. We would stay again.

The view out of the back of the lake was excellent. The setting was peaceful and remote but still close enough to explore neighboring towns conveniently. The rooms are spacious and well furnished (even if the furniture is a little outdated). The host was decently responsive to questions. The furniture on the patio could use some updating as it was not very comfortable and the wind kept taking the umbrella totally out of its stand. The bathrooms are great, the water pressure and temp was great, the beds were a little too firm (except for the king bed upstairs). The location is ideal for travelling to Shipshewana. There were two issues that I addressed with the hostess at checkout: 1) There was a place on the inside floor where the tile was pulling up and could be a trip hazard. 2) There was a board on the patio that was pulled up and could not only be a trip hazard but could stab someone in their foot or shin.

Great place with a beautiful view for anyone visiting Shipshewana.

Our stay at Anglers place was great. The house is tidy, the beds were plentiful and the linens were clean. I was a little disappointed that we couldn't just walk in the water, but the breakwall was short and there is a ladder, on the wall, to get down. It seemed a little mucky, but we were there to shop, not to swim. I was just bummed I forgot my fi cuzshing pole! The view is breathtaking! All in all, a great place to stay!!!

Howe Lake House

We enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed that the dock was so high. We couldn't dock our pontoon to it. Thankfully there was a ladder on the concrete wall that we used heavily. There needs to be more silverware (only had 4 forks) and more than one hand towel and dish rag. Peaceful place!

Super clean!

The house was incredibly clean and nicely decorated. The shed was stocked with all sorts of fun floats for the kids. The lake has no beach so a pool ladder is used to get in and out. The kids loved jumping off the pier. The water was about 2 1/2 feet deep at its most shallow point which was great for swimming and fishing. We caught a few blue gill, sunfish, and large mouth. We would definitely go back again!!
