Nestled in the rolling hills between Meadows, Goolwa and Strathalbyn, on over 40 acres of pastures on the gum-lined Finiss river, you can relax listening to native birdsong on the wide verandah.
The 100 year old 2 bedroom stone cottage comes fully equipped for a romantic getaway, with breakfast provisions, tea and coffee-making facilities and a complementary bottle of local Langhorne Creek wine, a cosy wood fire for those cold winter evenings and reverse cycle air-conditioning for the warmer months.
Feeling a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet still less than half an hours drive from iconic wine regions of the Adelaide hillls, McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek and the historic towns of Strathalbyn and Goolwa.
Deluxe toiletries are provided to enjoy the jet spa-bath.

Was amazing and cosy. Beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife to watch. Inside was clean and cosy, especially by the fire. Breakfast was amazing too. We def want to come back!

We loved staying at this beautiful cottage in Ashbourne. The location was handy, but remote enough to have that serene country feel. The cottage was so cozy, the warm fire with plenty of wood and comfy beds made it very relaxing. The local tasty treats on arrival including choccies, biscuits, red wine were a delight, but not only that, the locally sourced breakfast provisions were about as generous as we've ever experienced in a B&B! Our kids loved exploring the cottage and surrounds and we walked through Cox Scrub conservation park which was a short drive away. The spa was fun to use and all the linens as well as dressing gowns were luxurious. We appreciated all the little extras that were provided to make this an exceptional B&B stay!

This was easily the best Stayz we've ever had! Super cosy, rustic and comfortable in a serene environment. The hosts went above and beyond with fresh and tasty provisions that made our stay so easy. Highly recommend this place, not too far from popular locations like Currency Creek and Goolwa, but far enough to feel really immersed in the countryside. We will definitely go back!

A cosy family getaway

We travelled from Adelaide to find somewhere to stay on a rainy long weekend and were not disappointed. The cottage had a warm and welcoming feel with a generous spread of local produce including cheese, red wine, freshly baked bread, eggs, bacon and sausages and plenty of condiments!Our 2 girls under 10 loved meeting the 2 friendly dogs, sheep and alpacas, you can walk freely around the property and down to the creek.The wonderful hosts Merv and Karen made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!!!

Peaceful and lush

We had a lovely time. The location is gorgeous, as are the birds and alpacas. The accommodation is very comfortable and homely, and we were spoilt with the fresh produce that Merv and Karen left us for very tasty breakfasts. It's a lovely place to unwind and roam, and was just what we needed as a family. Thank you.

Peaceful serene bush getaway

We had a lovely stay at this stunning property. The cottage is beautiful, charming and has everything you want for a getaway. Clean, modern interior with all the amenities surrounded by gorgeous landscapes, garden and serenity. Close to towns but far enough to have peace and quiet. The host has provided a beautiful well thought out accomodation. Would suit couples, friends or family for a perfect stay. Would love to come back.
