We had a wonderful stay at the John Burck House. John is a retired military veteran from a family with a proud tradition of military service, and he was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and hospitable. The statue of his grandfather in front of the house, together with the stories and family history behind the property, made our stay feel especially meaningful. The house has wonderful historic character and period charm, while also being very well maintained and comfortable. We truly appreciated John’s hospitality and the opportunity to stay in a home with so much history and family heritage. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the John Burck House in Montague, PEI. The home is full of charm and history, with beautifully restored features and cozy, comfortable rooms. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and the peaceful setting made for a truly relaxing getaway. The location was perfect for us. We felt warmly welcomed and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We were lucky to have such great folksstay at the John Burck Legacy House. We indeed now have to consciously not expect the same from everyone else as you have set the standard to the highest level. Thank you so much for the spot lights I still am deeply moved at your consideration and we will have you back ANYtime….. please keep in touch as people now a days don’t have enough fabulous folks in their lives like your selves. Wonderful

The house is beautiful and we'll equipped with everything you needThe town of Montague is so welcoming and Interesting..The Owner kept in touch everyday and greeted us.The bedrooms are comfortable .The kitchen is unique .Wonderful place to stay.

I have stayed in many b and b homes, and this was very nice. The host, John, was very kind and met us even though we got in later than the check in time. The home is in a fun little town on the water. A variety of restaurants, museums, historical village, parks, and beaches very close. The island is small, so we took each section of the island on a different day and felt that we filled an entire week on the island. Each of the rooms was very pretty and beds comfortable. Kitchen was darling. Sitting room was comfy and all four of us could find a spot to read or use our phones. The wifi was great in the house on my service, but phone service was sketchy around the island. Be sure to get fresh produce and especially potatoes to enjoy. We made breakfast at the house most days, but Lady Slipper Cafe was delicious when we went out. Clam Diggers and Windows on the Water were also fabulous. Next door to the Coffee Bean which was delicious, as well. Would definitely love to return, and would stay at the John Burck house again. The books written by the owner were fun to read and gave much history of the home and family.Thanks John and Cassandra

A GREAT place to stay in PEI

The John Burck Historical House was a GREAT place to stay with our family. The house has been beautifully renovated to look how it did in the 1930s. Even the appliances which were new looked like they were from the 1930s. The host was amazing and when we arrived, met us at the house and shared its history with us. He also provided a book with pertinent information and the history of the home. He checked in several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is located in Montague so is near supermarkets, great restaurants and locations to visit with children. It was about a 45 min drive to Charlottetown or Souris - both places worth visiting. My family and I would recommend staying at the John Burck Historical House on your visit to PEI. Thank you John for a GREAT place to stay !!!

John was very helpful. The property was unique- restored family home with lots of memorabilia. Excellent kitchen. Eight of us stayed comfortably.
