Our second stay at this far North Shore home away from home. We love the comfortable compact layout, the beautiful garden setting, the morning breezes and the afternoon AC, and especially how close it is to Ke’e, Tunnels, and Hanalei! Thanks again!

Loved staying at this beachside house near Hanalei. Walking distance to beautiful beaches. Friendly neighbors. Peaceful. We wished we could have stayed longer, but our trip was curtailed by Hurricane Lala. Donna, our host, was helpful, communicative and understanding throughout the process. We would love to stay here again. Clean, peaceful, comfy beds. Love the main shower with river rock flooring and ocean sounds through the windows.

It was a lovely property to stay at. I really enjoyed the clawfoot tub to soak in after a day at the beach. I enjoyed all the beautiful plants at the property. It was nice that they provided beach chairs to use. The north shore of Kauai is amazing!Donna responded very quickly whenever I had a question.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! What a perfect little get-away! The furnishings where adorable and tasteful throughout! For less than the cost of a hotel room you can not beat the value and charm of this location! The the beach, just a three block walk away, is second to none! The only detraction (if you can call it that) is that you are literally in the jungle - as is the entire area of Hanalei. For us this was a plus and exactly why we love to vacation here. For some this might be a deterrent as there are a lot of delightful creatures to be found but for us it simply added to the experience.

There are free ranging roosters. During Hurricane Iniki the caged roosters and hens were released into the wild. We have learned to love the crowing. I apologize for not mentioning as a problem. We just don’t think of them as a nuisance

Good home base for exploring the area. Short walk to beaches, had no problem asking the shuttle to pick s up at the nearby resort. Overall a very good stay!

Disappointing Stay: Misleading Photos, Broken Amenities, and Uncomfortable AccommodationsUnfortunately, this property was a disappointment. The listing photos create a far more inviting impression than the actual accommodations deliver.The downstairs outdoor space was filthy and in disrepair, nothing like the appealing retreat portrayed in the photos. The entry keypad had broken buttons, and it took us 15 minutes just to get inside. The neighborhood was also much noisier than we expected. The property is very close to neighboring homes, and we regularly heard traffic and music blaring from passing cars. The mattresses were terrible, the furniture was uncomfortable, and there was so much furniture crammed into the space that the rooms felt cluttered rather than inviting.The most basic amenities were unreliable, too. Most of the light switches and fans didn't work. No candles were available, leaving us struggling with inadequate lighting for much of our stay. We even tried running the air conditioner in the primary bedroom to drown out the neighborhood noise, but it was so loud that using it was not an option.A vacation rental should provide a clean, comfortable, functional place to relax. Instead, we encountered a neglected outdoor area, a frustrating check-in experience, uncomfortable beds and furniture, excessive noise, and basic amenities that didn't work.

This was a very nice place to stay at for our 2nd week on Kauai, perfect for 4 people. Each bedroom has a separate AC unit, plus one in the living room, which kept the house very comfortable, although we didn’t use it that much since the temps were mild the week were there in April. The kitchen was well-appointed, even a coffee grinder. We loved having breakfast out on the lanai. Overall, highly recommended.

Nice little house very close to beach with lots of outdoor space. It is quite at night as traffic stops. Easy to get to Na Pali coast and great north shore beaches. Host was responsive to any questions and concerns.
