As well as only a short walk to the first tee of world-famous Royal Dornoch Golf Links and the long golden sandy Dornoch Beach. Dornoch and the property are both that good.
We encourage you thought to get out and explore this amazing part of the world. Beyond Dornoch with its golf courses, cathedral and charming village streets, there’s jaw-dropping land and seascapes to experience. From Dornoch we suggest heading both north and west. The NC500 will lead you up via Golspie, Brora and Helmsdale to historic Wick, John O’Groats and characterful Thurso. There are amazing beaches to explore, clifftops to walk, ferries to catch to Orkney and castles to discover. The sights are endless, you’ll need more time at Ceol Na Mara. From Dornoch to the west you can drive inland and over to the west coast. The land of Assynt awaits your exploration, and you can follow roads on the interior to the stunning far north coast of Scotland. So even though Ceol Na Mara and its Dornoch surrounds are all you will need and want, we urge you to hop in the car and take a tour in the far north of Scotland to really make your stay here a memory for life.
The owner of Ceol Na Mara could not be more helpful. Anything you need help with. Any suggestions. She will make sure you are set and that you have an amazing holiday. The house is exquisitely presented - an outstanding example of a holiday home. It is what a holiday home should be like when you walk through the front door. We love it.
So, when you arrive and enter through the front door you have a hallway ahead of you leading to the spacious and comfortable living room on the right, and the kitchen/dining room straight ahead of you. By the front door there is a useful vestibule area with thoughtful items in a wee cupboard, such as a beach towels and tennis racquets for those so inclined. The kitchen/dining room is so lovely and fresh with lots of natural light pouring in through windows and patio doors. The kitchen has everything you would need and want.
To the first floor and you will discover some of the most comfortable mattresses in the Highlands - we are not exaggerating! There is a super-king size double bedroom that can be made up as a twin, as well as a double bedroom. These share a spotless bathroom with shower over bath.
The outside space is small but nice. It is great to open the patio doors when cooking in the kitchen at the end of a day out on the beach, golfing or exploring the local area. You’ll no doubt want to spend more time outside on the sands of Dornoch or at one of the village pub gardens!
We honestly cannot stress enough how wonderful this holiday home is. We urge you to book now and be forever glad that you did so.
