Does the idea of staying in an original Tuscany countryside villa appeal to you?

Podere Belvedere is a renovated hilltop farmhouse nestled above the little village of Carmignano surrounded by olive trees and vineyards offering a 360° stunning view over the Tuscany countryside.
Florence is only 25kms/15miles away, Siena and Pisa are close, too, allowing to visit such beautiful towns and stay away from the bustle and hustle of the cities, soaking up the sun and relaxing around the private swimming-pool.

The farmhouse dates back to the XIX century and has been tastefully restored with attention to detail, keeping the ancient country style, but providing all modern comforts. Indoor amenities include large lounge areas with original wood Tuscany furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, and panoramic windows. The open-air area offers a huge fenced garden with olive trees, cypress trees, fruit trees, and aromatic plants, private parking, and mainly a lovely private and big saltwater swimming pool, with sofas and chairs for complete poolside relaxation. The old barn has been converted into a large loggia with a kitchen/barbecue area for 'al fresco' dining.

The villa spreads over two main floors. The ground floor includes a very large living room with TV, sofas, fireplace, a fully equipped and recently renewed large kitchen/dining room, a small bathroom, and the laundry room. On the upper floor, guests find four bedrooms, two with king-size bed and two with two twin beds each, plus two bathrooms (one en-suite to one of the twin-bedded room). One of the double rooms allows an extra bed.

In case of large parties or with service staff along, an additional small apartment is also available in the old wine cellars of the villa, with a double bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.

Please note that the swimming pool is open between June 01 and September 30. The indoor area of the villa is strictly non-smoking. Of course, it is possible to smoke all around the outside area.
Being in the countryside, the area is very peaceful - however, some noise can be heard from nearby farmhouses, i.e. roosters in the morning.

Given the location, coming by car is a must, as local transport, whilst reliable, frequently does not meet the needs of the tourists. Parking is not a problem, as the villa offers a private parking place at no extra cost.
Once in Carmignano, we strongly suggest NOT to follow the gps instructions, but to take this itinerary: from the Church of San Michele take uphill Via Chiti, which then converts into the winding Via Castello, until you reach no. 39. However, if on arriving in front of the Church you call us, we shall come and meet you in just a few minutes.

Just 1 km away is the little village of Carmignano, with typical cafés, restaurants, local shops, bank and pharmacy. The nearest supermarket is just 2kms down the hill in Seano.
In Carmignano itself must-see's include the old parish Church of San Michele, dating back to the XIV century with a very nice original picture by Pontormo, i.e. The Visitation, and the old medieval Fortress (Rocca).
During the summer various events are organized by the Municipality of Carmignano, who have developed a very good website.
