Villa Piantoni is located on the Estate of Antognolla, an idyllic reserve, with a medieval castle, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones ll, a pro shop, a clubhouse, and a cafe and bar. The Estate’s full service restaurant, La Boiola, offers creative interpretations of Umbrian cuisine as well as traditional fare. Pizza is prepared in the restaurant’s ancient stone oven.
There are numerous hiking and biking trails amidst the forests, olive groves and newly planted vineyards of Antognolla.
Villa Piantoni’s main house has a spacious living room with a wood-pellet fireplace, small library and work space with desk. The fully outfitted kitchen provides comfortable dining for six. Pantry essentials including coffee, tea, sugar, spices, olive oil and vinegar are provided. An herb garden is located just outside the kitchen window. A welcome basket is provided for our guests upon arrival, containing fruit, biscuits, milk, bottled water, an a bottle of Umbrian wine.
The living room opens onto a large covered portico, with lounge chairs and dining for eight. The barbecue is located close by.
Piantoni’s upper level has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the second with three twin beds. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
The studio cottage, Pianetta, is adjacent to the main house, and has a spacious bedroom, with two single beds, an ensuite bathroom, and a kitchenette. There is a large, covered, wrap-around terrace offering dining for 2. (The cottage is not rented separately when the main house is occupied.)
Piantoni’s infinity swimming pool, measuring 12 x 6 meters, offers stunning views of the lovely valleys, hilltops and olive groves surrounding the Villa. Pool towels, lounges, umbrellas and floats are provided.
Our manager, Paul, will greet you at the gated entry to the Antognolla Estate, and escort you to Piantoni. He will be available for the entirety of your visit, should you need any information or assistance.
