A Grandparent/Grandchild Holiday Visit

The living/kitchen area was the right size for our family to relax in, watch TV and play board games. The bedrooms each had their own TV's and bathrooms, which worked well for two adults and two children, especially the two queen sized beds in one of the bedrooms. The location was great and there was no outside traffic noise. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Smell

Everything was honestly fine except the room had a smell. When we found what it was, we let the front desk know and all they said was they would let housekeeping know. There was obvious animal urine on the bottom corner of the couch that was pungent.

We arrived in this california hotel after coming from Arizona where our car had broken down. We find out the suite I had reserved several weeks prior was not available and we had to make do with two separate rooms with 2 beds instead of 3. We discovered the microwave wasn't plugged in and front desk couldn't help us. Also the silverware had been placed in the top most cupboard, completely invisible until we went through every single cupboard in the kitchen. Also, the pool and hot tub had very short hours so we were unable to use them (like two hours in the morning and two hours at night). I had really splurged on this room and it was a huge disappointment. First day of our vacation and we had to make due with a room(s) we never would have reserved on our own. I'll never go back to this hotel. Front desk was completely unhelpful (and appeared to be understaffed).
