Disappointing
A truly disappointing stay. While the unit was clean enough, everything was cheap and basic. Not worth the high price we were charged.
It's fair to expect that your bedroom will have functioning air conditioning when you book a unit in Hoboken in June. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the bedroom air conditioning unit (no central air) was not installed, instead it was gathering dust in the closet. Given that it was regularly over 90 degrees outside during our stay, it was hot, stuffy and uncomfortable in the bedroom at night, making it difficult to sleep.
When we asked about this, we were given the runaround and told that they would need to check with management. Ultimately, the AC unit was never installed; instead, a weak fan was provided after many requests. We had no choice but to leave early.
Other issues:
--the toilet was not properly installed so it wobbles every time one sits on it.
--while fairly responsive, the customer service was ineffective. They couldn't provide an ETA for the fan we requested. Also, we were told that they don't provide customer support via phone; the only support is via email/text.
--a person from the management company entered our unit without knocking on our first day there. And they decided to enter the unit and show the unit to prospective buyers while we were there, on 2 separate occasions.
Overall, a huge disappointment. There were no reviews when we booked it, so I hope this review will help others.
