2 bedroom Bungalow with office in the Malibu Hills

Relax & Recharge at at our Spanish Style Malibu Casita. With over 1300 Sf. you will have plenty of room. This two-bedroom, one bathroom with office casita features an open floor plan and is nestled in the iconic Malibu Hills and just 4 miles to the Pacific Ocean.

One of the bedrooms & office room opens to the balcony where we have a hammock available for guests. The second bedroom is on the opposite end of the home and has views of the back garden area. We are just a few miles drive to some of Malibu's best beaches (Zuma, Carbon, Paradise cove). We are also very close to a great hiking spot (Zuma Canyon Trailhead & Point Dume). We are approximately 3.9 miles from Pepperdine University

Our guest Casita is attached to our personal residence. While we love hosting guests, we prefer to give our guests privacy & space. We do share a driveway and one set of outdoor stairs that lead from the driveway to the Casita.

The Casita is completely private inside and has a private front garden & balcony area.

There are two bedrooms each with a queen bed. An office area is available with a desk, chair, TV, and futon couch. Our Casita has one bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

We offer a full kitchen that includes a refrigerator, filtered water/ice maker, toaster, coffee pot, coffee, coffee grinder, French press, tea kettle, microwave, electric stove & oven, & dishwasher. Our kitchen is equipped with basic supplies to prepare & cook meals. There is also cozy living area with a dining table.

We have a pack n' play travel crib, highchair, utensils, books, & toys available for children. We offer WIFI & a land line phone that work well for zoom/remote work/school. Our Casita also offers 4 smart TV's. One in each bedroom, one in the office & one in the Livingroom.

The casita is not equipped with a central AC this is normally not needed in a beach town; however, we do have fans available for guests. There is one wall heater located in the living room and space heaters if needed for cooler months.

Our Casita is nestled on the top of a canyon in the Malibu Hills. Our front yard has a variety of lavenders, sage, rosemary, jasmine, and bougainvillea's. These beautiful plants/herbs attract a variety of wildlife our home is in the mountains where wildlife lives, please be cautious of deer, fox, racoons, squirrel's, bunnies, skunks, coyotes, opossums, birds, ants, spiders, snakes, mosquitos, bees, flies, pests, bugs and other wildlife & insects, pests that may visit the property. Sometimes we are even visited by a pandemonium of beautiful parrots.

Guest parking can accommodate two vehicles on the Right side of the driveway.

Guests will have access to the balcony associated with the guest bedroom & office. Also, the front garden area & additional garden area in the front of the property that has canyon & ocean views.

This is a smoke-free property. No smoking inside the casita or anywhere on the property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and make the guest liable for any fire or property damage costs.

We do not allow any pets on the property. Violation of our no pet policy will result in a termination of your stay without refund and forfeiture of security deposit.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors we have quiet hours from (9:30 pm to 8 am). We do not allow any loud music or loud noise, events, gatherings, parties at any time. Violations of noise will result in fines up to $1000.00 and termination of your stay without refund. Only registered guests allowed on the property. No unapproved visitors allowed.

Our Casita is nestled on the side of a canyon is the Malibu Hills. Since our home is in the mountains where wildlife lives, please be cautious of deer, fox, racoons, squirrel's, bunnies, skunks, coyotes, opossums, birds, ants, spiders, mosquitos, flies and other wildlife & insects that may visit the property. Sometimes we are even visited by a pandemonium of beautiful parrots.

We are located approximately 3 miles from PCH & Pepperdine University. Please note to get to the property you will drive up/down a winding canyon road.

There is an owners closet not accessible to guests on the front patio. Please note the entire home is not available for guests. Guests will have access to the Casita and garden in front of the casita. (No guest access above the casita/stairs/balcony).

Please note **Outdoor Surveillance cameras on property recording 24/7** Tampering with our cameras will result in automatic termination of stay.

Our home is located in the Malibu Hills/Mountains and while we make every attempt to keep our home inside & out free of spiders, spider webs, ants, insects and other bugs/pests/ rodents and other wildlife native to the area unfortunately on occasion these pests/bugs/rodents may attempt to take refuge in our home. Please notify us and we will contact our local pest control. We do contract with a monthly pest control company. The city of Malibu strictly prohibits the use of chemical pesticides and rodenticides to ensure the health, safety, and biological integrity of its citizens, wildlife, and environment. Due to these restrictions Refunds of stays will not be given due to cobwebs, pests/bugs/animal/rodent sightings or sightings of droppings.

Due to recent fires in California the electrical company has decided to turn off the power to homes at random with little or no notice. We will make every attempt to notify guests if/when this occurs. Power is normally restored within a few hours. We do have flashlights available if needed. Refunds of unused days for stays will not be given due to power outages unless power is not able to be restored and guest must find other housing accommodations.

Since our casita is below our main living space you may hear noise, such as talking & walking from above & possible noise from the garage door opening. Other than that disclaimer our home is beautiful & peaceful, and we can’t wait to share our space with you. Several of our neighbors and people in the malibu community are rebuilding homes lost in the 2018 Woolsey fire. During your stay you may hear construction noise. Please note: building, construction, road delays may take place in Malibu during your stay. Unfortunately construction outside of our property are not in our control.

Great home and location.
It was much larger then we expected and quite cozy. The road leading up to the home has quite a few turns so allow yourself plenty of time to navigate.

Our hobbies include vacation rental hosting, traveling, watching the sunrise & chasing sunsets, wine tasting, cycling, hiking, sports, fishing, exploring, crafting, entertaining, design, and remodeling homes.
