Leaks, Smells, and Stains
Typical property that is up for sale but still being rented. Definitely wasn't comfortable. They tell you not to strip and wash the linens. They changed the sheets but it appears they leave the comforters and shams. We had dried food on one sham and one comforter looked like it hadn't been cleaned. There were used q-tips on the floor beside the bed and trash and opened snacks left in the drawers. The fridge didn't work the first day we arrived. We had to turn it all the way down so it would cool. It would leak constantly and drain onto the floor. The worst part was the swamp gas from the drains, mostly in the master bath. It seemed to be coming from the shower drain. We had to keep that door shut with the vent running the whole time we were there. The place stayed cool that was a plus. The dryer would only work on timed cycle, but that wasn't a big deal. It just took us a few tries to figure that out. The oven was pretty much on high temp no matter what temp you set. The unit definitely needs some upgrades, really the entire place needs some renovations. It feels like we were just beach going cattle being rotated in and out of some slum lords trap house. Beach was great, pool was pretty nice, hot tub great. It was a place to sleep and store our stuff, that is it. The other family in our group had a unit one level above us and it was really nice. It looked like someone cared about it and cared about the folks staying there.
