This 14+ acre outdoor sanctuary boasts:
- a 10+ acre, 200+ year old arboretum of beautiful native NC trees and forestry
- 2 miles of walking/hiking/riding trails that run along (3) merging creeks! Bring your walking or hiking shoes, or haul in your dirt bikes and ATVs and enjoy some rugged outdoor FUN!
- seasonal edible garden spaces at your fingertips
- (2) outdoor lounging/entertaining bungalows
- Furnished front patio with solar evening/night time lighting and heaters
- Furnished back deck with fire pit, grill, dining table and ample seating
- 8 to 10 person , safety screened Trampoline
- Walk in greenhouse for transitional horticulture projects
- 10k+ reflection pond, great for meditation and stocked with baby turtles and frogs!
Porte Noire is located in the up and coming small town of Franklinton, and is located less than a mile from their lively and developing walk/shop/dine downtown.
