We are Terry, Chanda, Gracie, and Kate (And our dog Millie). We absolutely love living here for the same reason you are visiting-gorgeous mountains with all kinds of outdoor adventure activities in every season. We love to ski, hike, bike, paddle board, camp, plein air oil paint, fish and play hockey in the mountains every chance we get. And, we enjoy hosting and our small role in helping other families make memories in the Rocky Mountains! We invite you to come stay at Adventure Base Camp, you'll love it!

Awesome location! We are 15 min to shopping and restaurants in Montrose, and 30 minutes to the San Juan mountains or Black Canyon National Park. We are 40 min to Ouray Hot Springs, and 1hr 15 minutes to world-famous Telluride Ski Resort. This is the perfect mountain house (on 12 acres) to serve as base camp for your family to relax after exploring the beauty of the mountains and rivers. The garden-level guest space is newly renovated, clean, comfy, well lit with a lot of windows, very spacious! (2,500 square feet), Spread out and relax in privacy, or enjoy the movie room together. If you are working on the road, we have the perfect office space. In-floor heating for the winter and cool lower-level temperatures in the summer. Every room has a ceiling fan. You have the entire bottom floor of the house to yourself with no shared space and the large open concept kitchen is perfect for cooking as a family. The bedrooms are large, comfy and all have walk-in closets. We have a huge mudroom for your furry friends with a doggie door and plenty of open space and trails to walk. Our family of 4 lives upstairs, we are a relatively quiet family and respectful of your privacy, you can hear us from time to time and we observe quiet hours from 10 pm -8 am. The movie room, double shower in the master bedroom, spacious and comfy accommodations, amazing single-track mountain bike trails right out your back door next to this property, and panoramic mountain views with city lights below are all reasons why our guests love staying here and return again.
