THIS PLACE IS GREAT!
My family and I spent a couple of weeks at Falling Water. The first thing that hits you when you pull into the drive is how secluded and private it feels, even though you've just pulled off a state highway.
The second thing that hits you is the sound of the water, rushing down the mountain, right below the driveway. And, everything's green....trees all over the place....think the owner calls it "an enchanted forest". She's right.
The third thing that hits you is when you walk into the home and see how big the rooms are....the living room must be forty or fifty feet long. Because all the rooms are so large, the whole family can be in the kitchen without bumping into each other.
Then, you discover that the place is so well-insulated, it's very easy to find private moments in each of the bedrooms, even though the rest of the family is watching TV in the living room.
I'm an architect, and I envy the mind that created this home. It's so well-designed, with each of the bedrooms a great distance from each other. As a family spending time together, you can also get the privacy you need, or, you can be in any of the rooms as a group and still have space! It is an excellent home!
My wife was always commenting on how clean everything was and how well-appointed the kitchen was. My kids loved the big tubs, with plenty of hot water. So, we all had a great time.
And, there's a lot of things to do in the area. If you want to stay close to the home, you can just walk up into the woods or wander in the stream. If you want to get in the car, everything in the way of outdoor activities is close and there for you to enjoy. Some really good restaurants, too.
