Nostalgic Waikiki Monarch Studio | Pool + Gym

Unique and fantastically located studio with palm tree views overlooking Ala Wai Canal. Nestled at the beginning of Waikiki, this unit features ac, smart tv, wifi and cable a short walk from Fort DeRussy Beach Park, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ala Wai Canal and more. The Hawaiian Monarch is a secured building that includes a spacious sun deck with grilling area, pool, and hot tub steps away from Waikiki’s shopping, restaurants, nightlife and activities. Take a short stroll to Ala Moana Beach Park, Ala Moana Center, and Hawaiian Convention Center.

This partially remodeled studio offers mountain and city views and sleeps 2. This unit is located on the 16th floor. Elevators are available.

KITCHEN/DINING
This home includes a kitchenette with a hot plate (portable stove), microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge/freezer, dishes, cups, cutlery and basic cookware.

LIVING/SLEEPING AREA
This unit includes a full size bed (sleeps 2 guests), dining area for 2 guests, smart tv, and ac.

BED/BATH
This unit includes a full size bed (sleeps 2 guests) and full bath with tub/shower.

OUTDOOR AREAS
This home does not have a private outdoor area.

BUILDING AMENITIES
The Hawaiian Monarch building offers upgraded amenities such as a giant Sundeck, pool and hot tub, paid fitness center (one-time nominal fee), paid luggage storage (one-time nominal fee), paid laundry (nominal fee). The building lobby levels also have a locally-owned coffee shop, car rental, King’s (bar), convenience store and restaurant (Burger & Sushi). Building has 24/7 security, elevators and attached, secured garage.

PARKING
This home does NOT come with parking. Paid parking is offered based on availability by the attached garage for a daily fee of approximately $40/day. Please note that the parking is not owned by or offered by us. It is ran by a separate company with no affiliation with this rental, and prices and availability are subject to change at any time.

LOCATION
The Hawaiian Monarch offers easy access to Honolulu’s diverse offerings. Take a short walk to the restaurant-filled Hilton Hawaiian Village or the adjacent protected bay for swimming, picnic-ing and paddle boarding. Explore nearby Fort DeRussy Beach Park, soft-sanded beaches, famous restaurants, surf lessons, paddle board rentals, and shopping. Close to Hawaii Convention Center, Royal Hawaiian Center, Ala Moana Beach Park, Ala Moana Center, Diamond Head State Monument and more.

This unit is not part of the hotel pool. This property is independently owned and managed and does not offer/include daily cleanings or linen services. This property does not include daily service, and requests may be pushed to the next business day.

Terrible stay with cockroaches

Where do I start. The Murphy bed didn’t work and when we went to check we found multiple dead roaches under it. Bedding was stained and smelled. The room door was wide open at check in which made us feel incredibly unsafe. When we told property management they said “sorry, you want more towels?” We asked for a refund but they refused. Lights were broken, fridge was leaking, AC didn’t work, the list could go on. Stay here if you want a smelly room, filthy room.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall condition of the unit was dated but in general was in acceptable shape. The kitchen sink needsreplaced and we never could get the internet to work for the television or computer. We had a hot spot on our phone so we had computer access of our own. Not having television wasn't the worst thing while on vacation.

Stay away from this particular VRBO rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was dirty, it smelled dirty, and everything it was old and NOT like the pictures shown on VRBO.Mattress was old and hard; mattress cover was smelly and stained from probably sweat and other things. Pillows were nasty and smelly too.There were few and old utensils that were stored in a cup, nasty stuff.Bathroom had mold and shower bathtub had not been cleaned. Sink drain would back up due to old drain cover, floors were not clean either.I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone either. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner but I'm sure all they want is the $$ because they definitely don't take care of it or invest money into it.
