Perfect Location and So Clean
The cabin is exactly as described and was so clean upon our arrival. The views off the balcony were amazing. The sunsets were spectacular with the colors against the mountain backdrop.
The road up to the cabin is steep and narrow but easily doable in a car. The location for the cabin was perfect for everything we did (i.e goat coaster, dollywood, stampeed, cades cove, the caverns, the old mill).
We had problems getting our door code to work and Lauren fixed it right away. We then had problems with the ac unit and she had that fixed asap too. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. She was very responsive to any questions/problems we had and never left us hanging.
While we did love the location and the cabin there were a couple things that didn’t suit us well BUT this is all personal opinion and by no means discounts how great the cabin is.
1- the beds were too hard for us. We think the mattresses are a firm memory foam. We’ve always slept on pillow top mattresses so these were just too hard and uncomfortable for us.
2- the showers are the size of camper showers or maybe smaller. The men couldn’t raise their arms without hitting the walls. In order to wash yourself, you have to cut the water off because you can’t get out from under it.
3- the upstairs bathroom counter was kid height and awkward to use with the mirror right at your face.
Again, all these are personal preference things. Outside of that it was the perfect mountain cabin!
