Acadia cottage sul mare, a 400 piedi dall'oceano, può ospitare fino a 4. Situato in un bel quartiere alberato, ma vicino a tutto. 4 miglia da Bar Harbor, 1 1/2 miglia da Acadia National Park. Il cottage è molto caldo e accogliente. Il ponte di 12x30 piedi è ottimo per ammirare le stelle la sera e fare un caffè al mattino e fare colazione con il sole. Fai una passeggiata sulla riva per cercare conchiglie o vetri di mare. Guarda i pescherecci che passano, guarda il sole sorgere. Trasporto gratuito con Island Explorer in tutta l'Isola e attraverso il Parco Nazionale di Acadia e puoi ritirarlo dal cottage, uscire a pranzo, fare shopping, bere un cocktail o 2 o qualsiasi altra cosa e lasciarti cadere praticamente sul gradino della porta. Funziona dalla mattina presto fino a tarda sera. Ha anche un portabiciclette.

Bar Harbor girlfriend trip

We are 3 high school girlfriends now retired , Enjoyed our first trip together as seniors and we loved this little cottage close to town of Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park! Very quiet and peaceful area with lovely deck and fire pit! Very nice hostess ! Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful return visit

Karen’s cottage offered us everything we could want. Very peaceful and comfortable. We appreciated the new gate on the front deck, which kept our dogs from wandering off.

Great location

The location was perfect. The size of the house was perfect. A couple of suggestions but by no means a criticism - an additional light outside near the two stairs down would be helpful. It was hard to see and we tripped a couple of times. Wooden tongs for the toaster. Coffee pods for the Keurig with powdered creamer would be nice since we forgot our coffee and that would have been nice the first day until we could get some. Salt and pepper. We brought lots of seasonings but the two we forgot was salt and pepper.

We had a wonderful time.The place we stayed was Grant.The owner was a real nice Lady.The cabin came with everything but Food. It had cable tv and More.It vwas very clean and we left it the same way.We want to thank owner very much.

Perfect Rental for an adult family

The home was perfect for myself, husband and adult son. This home has a large kitchen and the most well stocked rental I have ever stayed at. The living room had plenty of comfortable furniture for all of us to relax on. Beds were comfortable and the entire rental was clean. Super close to the national park, less than 10 minutes. We had a wonderful stay and would stay here again if we travel back to Bar Harbor Maine.

Excellent experience

We thoroughly enjoyed Karen's cottage. It was beautifully quiet, but only a short drive to Acadia National Park and good restaurants. Comfortable furnishings, a good mattress, well stocked kitchen and dog-friendly. The owner was nearby if we had any questions. We would happily rent again.

Clean cottage with unique collections

We stayed here to be close to Acadia. It's clean. Karen was attentive and kind. The decor includes her collections throughout the house. The flower plates and serving dishes were cheerful. Everything you need is there.

Had a wonderful stay

The cottage was very well stocked, in a quiet neighborhood, and close to Bar Harbor. We enjoyed taking the dog for evening walks down to the water and we enjoyed seeing a loon every now and then.

Hiking Days and Lobster nights

Amazing sunset at Cadillac Mountain started the week! We hiked several trails and relaxed at the cottage that was super clean and well stocked with everything you need and extras. I was so happy to find the tools to crack open and eat lobster. The campfire spot was a charm! Check out the ocean that’s a short walk. Gem of a place!

Cluttered, Humid and Buggy

The listing doesn’t make it clear, but this is not a rental home, this is the host’s home which she rents part of the year. The host stays on the property in another dwelling while guests are present. The host was not friendly from the start, she expected us to adjust our schedule twice during our stay for non-necessary contractor visits. If it was just my wife and I, this would be more acceptable, but she scheduled service calls two days in a row that coincided with our 1-year old’s nap schedule. The house itself is very dated, in need of a professional cleaning and very cluttered. The house is extremely humid, there are a few small fans, but they are not enough to make the house comfortable on warmer (mid 80’s) days. The house is also very buggy, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and beetle-type bugs all over the house. More than once we had bugs crawling on us while sitting in the house. Lastly the host has a lot of very odd rules about everything, which aren’t clearly listed anywhere, and she will bug you about them throughout your stay. Definitely the worst rental house we have had. For the money there are a ton of better options on the island.

Perfect fairytale cottage in the woods

Even though you are a short drive from Bar Harbor this house and neighborhood are peaceful, close to the shore and beautiful. This is our second time staying. I love this home! Karen creates a warm, comfortable and whimsical home that has absolutely everything you could need. I already miss being there.

Quaint cottage in perfect location

Karen’s Cottage was great for 4 people. It was comfy and cozy and it’s convenient access to Bar Harbor and the park loop made our first visit to Acadia and Schoodic easy and enjoyable! The walks down to the beach were fun as well as the caves. Karen’s added touches of having extras like condiments, paper products, laundry detergent etc were nice as well.

Easy Breezy

Karen’s cottage made our stay very simple: Just show up with some clothes, something to grill, and you’re good! The cottage was clean, bright, had anything you’d need: blankets/pillows/towels/toiletries/coffee pot/tv/Wi-Fi/games/outdoor area with fire pit and grill/ full eat-in kitchen done in Pioneer Woman/ washer and dryer/comfortable beds and comfortable recliners in the living room; we loved our stay. The cottage is close to to the park but in a wooded neighborhood so our children could safely run around the yard while we packed for the day’s hike. Karen is very organized, kind, and keeps a nice cottage!

From the beginning and throughout our stay, we were very impressed with the accuracy and completeness of the list of items Karen has in the cottage. This, plus great location, and comfortable home, makes this a great getaway. What's not to love!

Hello, my name is Karen and I was lucky enough to have been born on this most Beautiful Island called Mt. Desert Island off the coast of Maine. I got married and had a family. I have one son and 3 grandchildren. My son is a lobster men and my 3 grand children are also. 2 boys and a girl. It is a very hard job to do! Acadia National Pk. is located on the Island and it is simply breath taking. The entrance to the Pk. is just 1 1/2 miles from your cottage. So many things to do and see.
