Villa Captiva is a large, 5 +1-bedroom villa in Marigot, with direct access to the protected bay, and comes with a private beach and pontoon. This newly-built villa, spread out over several pavilions, marries classic Caribbean charm with top-of-the line furnishings. An open floor-plan kitchen and living room lend an airy feel to the communal space. White wood floors paired with Belgian-linen slip colored sofas offset otherwise modern lines and black bookshelves, creating a contemporary but “beachy” ambiance. A private, enclosed office is in the back of the living room, while upstairs there is a loft-style TV room. Out in front of this pavilion is a large shaded outdoor space with the dining area and seating, and which leads to the beautiful, heated infinity pool, complete with an array of loungers. Outdoors, particular attention has been paid to the landscaping. Gardens are mature, bursting with light pink bougainvillea and palm trees. Grass can be a rarity on St. Barths, and this villa has ample lawn space. Traverse down the steps to the property’s private sandy shore, ideal for lunch or a barbecue, or jump into Marigot Bay off the villa’s own pontoon. Four, equally sized bedrooms with views, stand alone on various parts of the property, giving ample privacy to each guest. Four-poster U.S. king-sized beds beds, a small sitting area and coffee table, and bookshelves with vintage black and white St. Barths photographs define each bedroom, which rivals the most generous of hotel suites. Each bedroom has U.S. and French satellite, as well as AppleTV, a desk, dark tiled bathrooms, two of which have free standing tubs, and walk-in closets, which make each bedroom a true retreat. The fifth bedroom, in a pavilion closest to the main room only has garden views, and connects to a kid’s room with a bunk bed. A large fitness room completes this villa. Villa Captiva is an excellent villa for a family vacation but will also suit couples vacationing together. Villa Captiva comes with house cleaning services seven days a week, including holidays. During the December holidays, the villa rents at the full occupancy rate regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
