Situated on pristine White Lake, a short 50 min drive from the nation's capital, Ottawa.

Pôr do Sol Cottage is a luxurious 4 season vacation property and was designed to welcome multiple families with ample dining spaces, two living rooms and a lower level kitchenette space.

Rediscover nature in unique ways each season, whether on the lake or in the adjacent forestland or gather your crew and explore charming nearby towns and seasonal activities of all kinds.

Enjoy year-round activities nearby, such as golfing, pumpkin picking, downhill ski, ice fishing and much more. Located 30 minutes from ski hills (Pakenham & Calabogie), golf courses (Mountain Creek, Pakenham, Calabogie) and nature activities (Cedar Hill Tree Farm, Fulton's Sugar Bush).

Offering Saturday to Saturday bookings for July/August 2023

Guests will have access to the cottage, waterfront and 1+ acre property.

Hosts will be accessible by text/call and appointed staff may come to site if required to assist urgently. However, hosts will provide ample notice before staff responds to site.

Property is quite private with neighbours only on one side. Lush trees and character rock formations pepper the landscape around Pôr do Sol. Small secluded bay with only 5 cottages. Close to Cedar Cove Resort, Bayview Lodge, White Lake Marina and accessible via Pakenham, White Lake or Burnstown village. Country roads cleared all year round for great accessibility no matter the season. Community minded residents organize activities like: Canada Day fireworks, fishing derby events and fundraisers. A short drive from Ottawa and a scenic drive from GTA.
Perfect winter retreat with for your scenic and outdoor activity inspired holiday. Well situated between two local ski hills, and a number of trails to be explored on foot, mountain bike, snowshoes and skies.

Ample parking available near front entrance of cottage, in front of garage as well 2 parking spots inside garage (during winter months). Walking on country road is safest with high visibility vest. Extra care and caution are required on country roads due to various wildlife in the area (turtles, deer, groundhogs, porcupines etc) Persons using ATVs, Side by Sides or snowmachines are required by the MTO to use designated and marked trails. Guests can bring their own bicycles and are recommended to have gravel tires or mountain bikes.

REMINDER: Water/ Plumbing and Septic

Please understand that the Cottage has a septic system and only bodily waste materials or biodegradable toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet. Absolutely no feminine hygiene products, including tampons, are to be flushed even if the product is labeled as ‘flushable’. Please also remember because of the septic not to put any solid waste materials, coffee grounds or grease down the sink drains.

If there is a sewage back up and we find evidence of any of the above, we will defer this cost back to the guest.

We are on a well, most guests don't mind it but you're welcome to bring you're own water.

Wonderful relaxing cottage experience.
Great location for a vacation away from the busyness of life. The hosts were fantastic and surpassed our expectations. The cottage was very clean, spacious and beautifully kept. You can tell that the hosts put their heart and soul into making it a wonderful experience for their guests. They put special attention to the very small things from comfortable linen to plenty of towels, small gift for our toddler and so many extra amenities ( like shower gel, body wash, shampoo). The owners communicated with us in a timely fashion answering all our questions. Overall one of the best experiences we've had.

Amazing weekend!
The hosts of Por do Sol are easy to deal with and take special attention to every detail. What a tremendous start for our stay to be welcomed with a sign by the front door wishing me a Happy Birthday. Complimentary cans of Perrier were in the frig, S'mores for the kids, chocolate spoons to our coffee. The only reason I checked 4 stars for check-in was because we had difficulty with the lock; called Danielle and she responded promptly, we were then able to solve the problem. We look forward to another stay in the future. Merci Danielle, Nathalie et Greg.

perfect start to the new year!
we were very happy to stay here over the new year’s weekend! the house is beautiful, has very nice natural light, and is decorated very nicely!! the hosts were kind, communicative, and more than willing to help us with anything we needed! we arrived to some really sweet gifts from the por do sol team and could tell that they are invested in ensuring their guests have the best experience. would recommend and are considering rebooking in the new year!

Beautiful Property
Beautiful space with a lovely lake view. The interior of the house is fully renovated and beautiful and it includes everything you would need for your stay. The hosts were super responsive and quickly came by to drop off additional k-cups when we realized we were a little short on coffee for our group. They also included some small gifts for the kids which they were excited for. Peaceful getaway for the whole family!!! Absolutely recommend!
