The accommodation
Casale Giulietta is furnished in a relaxes modern style, combining antique and new, it is spread out of two floors. The ground floor consists of an open plan living room, with a working open fireplace, a dining area in front of a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower. A beautiful old wooden staircase leads up to the top floor where you will find two comfortable double bedrooms. A third bedroom has two single beds. There is beautiful mezzanine area used as a gallery reading room with a sofa that can be transformed into a single bed and a fully equipped bathroom.
The villa outside is surrounded by a veranda equipped with garden furniture and a vast courtyard and a staircase leading to the pool area
The lower terrace of the villa has a swimming pool wich assures complete privacy and sea view(The entire gulf of Castellammare from “Punta Rais” to the natural reserve of “Lo Zingaro” including. The famous Faraglioni of Scopello). There is also a shaded veranda, facing the swimming pool and the sea view with a fully equipped kitchen barbecue grill a bathroom with a shower room. Under the veranda there is a dining and a relax area where one can read or paint.

The villa has a large private parking area (convenient for 5 cars).
The car is recommended. The entire structure, including the pool and garden, are accessible for private use only, reserved only for guests of the villa.
Local Information
Food and wine from this region are a gourmet’s delight. With the prolific Mediterranean and its doorstep, fish is inevitable the number one choice, although there a many delicious varieties of local pasta.
Within the village of Scopello lie a wonderful restaurant, cafes and a few local shops. Easily reached is an organic market where fresh produce is picked hourly from the surrounding fields.
It would also be a great injustice not to mention the “Tonnara” a disused tuna fishery with its infamous sea views and the “Lo Zingaro” National Park a seven kilometre long line of magnificent inlets, grottos, low reefs and fantastic sandy coves.
Local Cuisine
It will be foolish to try and describe the island’s exceptional cousin in such a small space. One could never do justice to an art form, which has taken hundreds of years to develop, not to mentioned several invasions.
“Bar Nettuno” in Scopello is the perfect way to begin and end the day. Piero, the owner welcomes all with a huge Cappuccino for breakfast and his brother serve drinks till the early hours. “ La Tavernetta, “ La Cialoma and La Terrazza” are also worth mentioning for their stunning views and superb fresh food. Castellammare is a bustling town around which are dotted numerous bars and restaurants. Try " La Cambusa” at the marina for seafood Sicilian fish dishes, especially those eaten in the open air, is to be definitely savoured.
Boat and Beaches
This western coastline is filled with magnificent inlets, unspoilt bays and splendid beaches. Picturesque seascapes follow one another like a beautiful string of pearls. Calabianca with its turquoise waters and grottos is followed by Guidaloca a sandy, pebbly beach with a limpid sea of ever changing colours offering a variety of water sports. Nearby is Cala Rossa where a pathway leads you down steep rocks to a charming cove with an underground grotto. Finally, you arrive at the secluded bays and inlets, which form the spectacular Zingaro nature reserve.
There are numerous local places from where you can hire boats or alternatively several agencies offer excursion, especially at the marina and along the coast past the Zingaro. From Trapani you can take a ferry and visit the island of Pantelleria or the three exotic Egadi Islands.
Places of Interest
Sicily keeps a special place welcome for the discerning traveller who appreciates the finer elements of life, and who looks for more from a holiday than lying by the pool. All the ancient civilizations that succeeded in conquering Sicily left behind them an outstanding heritage of artistic achievement. Visit the extraordinary and unique Greek site of Segesta, with its Doric temple and amphitheatre in tranquil beauty amidst nature. A little further afield is the enclave of Erice with its delightful medieval ambience and breathtaking hilltop location, filled with castles churches and winding cobbled streets. Also not to forget the Segesta Baths, whose waters, classified as hypothermic, sulfurized, highly mineralized, play an important therapeutic action.
The capital Palermo is a mere 50 Km from Scopello, but do not go with an itinerary, no map does justice to a city so colonised, yet so proud of its identity.
Activities & Excursions
Sicily is at its finest out of season, in spring or October when the crowds have eased and the temperature has dipped slightly. It marks the time of the traditional grape or olive harvest while throughout the year one of the greatest attraction of visiting its western tip is the prospect of sampling exceptionally good regional wines in and around Marsala. Otherwise why not learn the secrets of great Italian cooking while you relax in serious style in our villa. For those wanting stretch themselves, the Sicilian hills are bathed in history, with beautiful churches and stunning mountain walks. The coastline also offer some of the most idyllic scenery and local people who have yet to turn their natural disposition for hospitality into an industry.
