Very spacious, great pool needs TLC
Communication with the property manager leading up to the holiday and during our stay was excellent, they were very responsive and answered questions fully and quickly. The offer of arranging a welcome pack, car hire and airport transfer helped to alleviate pressure of booking these extras.
Check in process was very simple- key code for safe by front door was issued in advance and we didn’t experience any issues entering the property.
The villa itself was very spacious- more than enough space for our family of 6, it could easily accommodate 8 (though bear in mind outdoor eating area and dining table only have seats for 6). Lots of bathroom/ shower space too- 3 showers and toilets, plus a bath.
The villa was very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need for your stay- kitchen utensils, pans etc were plentiful.
Pool and outdoor areas are spacious - again plenty of space and seating for us all.
Checkout was as simple as check-in. There was a list on the fridge of tasks to complete before leaving- nothing out of the ordinary I.e. empty all bins and fridge, strip bedding and leave by washing machine etc. Key was to be locked in safe by front door.
A few points worth mentioning though that have prevented a 5 star rating
1- when we arrived the pool was filthy and there was around 8 inches less water than there should have been. We searched high and low but couldn’t find a net to clean the pool (later found out the pool guys bring it with them). We contacted the management team and they got someone out the next day to clean it, it was refilled 2 days later with a LOT of water ( imagine a 11m x 5m pool and 8 inches of extra water!)
2- it cost us 50TL (rather than 6TL) to buy a water refill as the bottle that was left for us was old and the 5 shops we tried would not accept it, so we had to buy a brand new one. Further refills cost 6TL as the bottle was widely accepted
3- though the place was undeniably really spacious and well equipped, it needs some TLC. Though it looked clean on the surface, there was a lot of dust, cobwebs etc around and the cupboards all had a really stale, musty smell. We had to wash all kitchen ware before we used it as it just didn’t seem clean. It felt as though the house had been shut up since last year and we were the first renters, though I can’t believe that to be the case as we stayed in August.
