Disappointed
brought my family to this guest house and was not satisfied with its services. I want to address some issues that took place while we stayed at this lodge. When we arrived, there were trash bags that were not emptied prior to our arrival. In some bathrooms fecal matter was present in the toilet. Dog hair was present in some of the beds. The towels were still in the dryer when arriving and not in bathrooms. One of the bigger bedroom doors did not shut unless locked and made it hard to have privacy. Ants were found in our luggage, clothes, and bodies. One screen cover upstairs wasn’t placed in the window. Also one of the key features when purchasing this stay was use of the hot tub which was unavailable. We also found a vape pen near the couch. This lodge was very dirty when arriving and this shows that it was not cleaned and prepared for our arrival. The lodge condition appeared as if prior guests had just left. We were also frightened by a lady who came in the middle of the night up the stairs trying to open the front door. She claimed to be the owner of the property and was also speaking vulgar to us. We were able to call the local police to parole the area, however we did not feel safe and were very frightened. The lodge locks on every door were very unsecure. We were very worried this lady would try to get into the lodge again while we were asleep and feared for our safety and that of our families as we have small children with us.
