Our lakefront home is nestled in the trees, on 80 acres, with a spectacular view of our private non-swimmable little lake. Newly renovated and ready for you to spend your vacation. Nestled in the foothills of the Kananaskis mountain range, this lovely house is perfect for the outdoors person who wants to be close to the hiking trails, horseback riding outfitters, water sports, winter activities and endless adventures. We have a spacious 80 acreage to explore on foot, snowshoes, or cross-country skies. With plenty of activities within a short drive, you will never lack activities to keep you busy. You can use this as your escape from the world and decompress from your busy life. Shut out the craziness of the outside world and spend some wonderful relaxation time, or if you need to stay in touch, we do have satellite internet, phone and some cell service—a great location for artists and writers who want to isolate and dive into their projects. With wide-open fields, you will have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the tranquillity of the foothills of Alberta. Pets are welcome; a charge is automatically added. If you don't bring a pet, please let us know, and we will remove the fee.
WE DO NOT ALLOW HUNTING ON THIS PROPERTY, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Also, please keep your time at the property, within the fences, the properties surrounding us are owned by families, and we wish to respect their privacy.

Bridal Suite

I used this place for my bridal suite and I have NO regrets or complaints!! It was a little tricky to find at first but as soon as I asked the hosts for help they pointed us in the right direction!! Such a beautiful place and GORGEOUS LOCATION! I had my dog there and they had a cute little dog bed and dishes for her ! Such an amazing place !

Nice getaway from Calgary

The home was huge and the property was serene. We took the paddle boat out and floated around, we pet the horses and got to see turkeys and many deer on the property. The large kitchen was perfect for cooking large meals for our family. We will be back!

Great place to disconnect while only 15 mins to town

This location is amazing. Only 15 mins from Diamond Valley, but feels like its remote. The property has more to offer than what is in the pics and we really enjoyed exploring the area. It was completely quiet and dark at night so it really felt like we were away for our time there. A couple of things to note. There is no king size bed for anyone that is used to that. There is one bathroom that is single user only, so be prepared for that. If you love your morning latte or cappuccino like we do, it's a short 15 min drive into town in the morning for a good coffee. I highly recommend a truck as the road into the house might not be friendly to a car with low clearance. And if I were to change anything, a hot tub on the deck would be my first choice. That said, we had no issues with any of these items and spent most of our time either on the deck taking in the grandeur of the area, or out walking around the property. We will definitely come back when its time to get away from the insanity of daily life and get off the grid for a few days.

Serene Nature Escape

Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a weekend and we could not have been happier with the setting and house. It was perfect for the 6 of us and provided ample space for us to find our own quiet retreat. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Slice of heaven - amazing sunsets!

We had a terrific time at Heart Lake and was fortunate to have great weather. House was dog friendly and country comfortable with everything we needed. We spent the majority of our time on the massive lake facing deck enjoying the spectacular SW view with an aspen offering much appreciated mid-afternoon shade. We did inform the owners we blocked off the open end of the deck to prevent our senior lapdogs from wandering off. The resident woodchuck was active in the clover and took position on the fence in the morning and early evening which was fun to watch. LOTS of birds, deer/fawns and spotted a black bear on a hill across the way. Freshly mowed paths around the property were great to stroll and minimized bugs. Earthwork for a new road on the adjancent property was noisy at times but likely a very short-term issue. All in all.. fantastic!

Beautiful and Peaceful spot

We do love this spot the accommodations meet our needs travelling with 5 children very well. Love the horses on the property which were friendly made such a unique experience. We were a little disappointed that the grounds were not well maintained and we could not enjoy the grounds totally as the grass appeared not to have been cut all season and was over-run with dandelions.

Harmony at Heart Lake

A stunning rural property with a heart shaped mini lake surrounded by lush pastures. So serene. So beautiful. An excellent place to unwind and reconnect. A well appointed lake house with an enormous kitchen, comfy beds, awesome leather sectional, wifi and roku. The decks steal the show during an early morning sunrise or evening sunset. Definitely coming back. Oh, and the mac-n-cheese brisket at Westwood cafe 👍👍👍

Just the vacation you need

It is such beautiful space! you can relax and have your own privacy. The owner provided everything you'd need and they are good communicators. I did not encounter any problems. I'm only giving 4 star for cleanliness because compared to other places I have been it was not guest house clean. I mean, there was a spot on a duvet in a bedroom (had a clean sheet underneath, so fine in general). It was clean just not sparkling clean. Also, we had to clean the bbq ourselves. Other than these tiny issues, everything great.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Lake House, which was clean and comfortable. The quietness and serenity was deeply palpable and we were blessed with beautiful weather allowing us to walk and explore the property. We can highly recommend this property as a country getaway!

Great place for a quiet relaxing get away!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this property and it was a fantastic experience. Set on a vast 80 acres of land, the property offered ample space for our dogs to explore and play, making it ideal for pet owners. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to truly disconnect and recharge. The surrounding environment was incredibly peaceful, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. We were also blessed with perfect weather during our stay, which added to the overall enjoyment. The only downside was the need for chains on our vehicle to access the house, due to snowfall the day before our arrival. Despite this minor inconvenience, our stay was memorable and we highly recommend this property for those seeking a tranquil getaway.

Perfect getaway

We booked this place as a gal pal getaway to spend time together. This place is sheer heaven. It is exactly as the listing shows. Roomy, amazing view of trees and the lake. Everyday we saw deer and horses graze on the property. Cattle grazing on the hillside. Sheer serenity. Quiet and starry nights as there is no no light pollution. The home is super comfortable , lots of natural light, and a great deck to sip coffee or wine with nature as the backdrop. Fully equipped kitchen and extremely comfortable beds. I will defiantly be returning. The owners are communicative, kind and very welcoming. It is impossible not to enjoy your stay here. Lots of places to roam the hillsides, stretch your legs or lounge by the lake or deck

This place is really special! Absolutely beautiful land. We loved seeing the horses, walking around the lake, and just being outdoors. The house had everything you could need as well.

Junction Falls Hike Weekend

We were a group of 5 ladies who planned a hiking weekend together. The Lake House was absolutely perfect for our stay. Spacious kitchen with absolutely everything needed for our meals. A fantastic deck with a view of the lake and beautiful countryside. It also had a propane fire pit that kept us warm as we sat outside to enjoy the view. We would certainly stay again for our next trip to the area.

Little piece of paradise

This was a perfect weekend getaway for a large group. Very private and it felt like we were on our own hideaway just a short drive from the city. Extremely picturesque and comfortable. Was a memorable stay.

Spectacular foothills retreat - heart lake home.

The property is stunning. We spent almost all of our time at the house. Too beautiful to leave. The weather was devine, we were watchful over a clutch of geese and a curious badger. No drama. The house had everything we needed- lots of propane - visit to Fuhr brewery fantasic. TV and BD very comfotable and quaint. Super fun...but it was the place! So beautiful! Planning a return soon. It is stunning at all times of the day. Thank you!

Great getaway

Great property with lots of space for us and our golden retriever puppy. The scenery was amazing and home was well equipped. We would not hesitate to come back. Amazing time for all.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this property. The house was comfortable, roomy, clean and well stocked. Property is absolutely beautiful, and perfectly quiet. Nice parks nearby for activities, and a short drive into town. Excellent communication with the owners.

Amazing get away

I spend Christmas with my family in this beautiful house by the lake. We had walks every morning and got to enjoy and incredible and cozy time at night. Looking forward to go back
