In the heart of the Alpine Village sits the Dicky Bird suite. This is a cozy space for one family or a couple to enjoy. From here you can ski to the lifts or stare at the views of Strathcona Park. Here to relax? We have you covered with no vehicle traffic you can watch the kids play outside without having to worry. Have fun playing board games, make memories and soak up the magic of the Alpine Village in style this winter at the Birdhouse.
The Dicky bird is a loft unit with a queen bed upstairs and a pull out sofa bed downstairs, it is suitable for one small family with children or two adults. We do not recommend more than two adults in the unit for a comfortable stay. Due to the loft setup it is not recommended for younger children under the age of 5. The Dicky Bird is a pet free accommodation; no exceptions.

We are a ski out chalet and at the end of the day you will have to take your skis off to walk up the hill- the magic at the top is worth it!

During the winter months the village is walk in only. From the parking lot it is about a 7-8 minute walk to the Dicky Bird and a 5 minute walk from the unload zone. We provide one complimentary shuttle in to deliver bags and gear during ski season. The Dicky Bird is allowed one parking space in the village parking lot during ski season.

During the summer/fall months you can drive right up to the Dicky Bird. There is street parking beside the building or you can park in Dougan's parking lot.
Parking during the winter months: A week prior to your trip you will be asked to provide your license plate number along with a reachable phone number while on the mountain. This is required for vehicle parking registration PRIOR to your arrival. Vehicles not registered or parking information provided at the time of arrival may risk the vehicle being towed. The Dicky Bird has been assigned parking for one vehicle only. Additional parking passes are not available at this time.

Questa casa vacanze si trova a Courtenay e vanta una posizione strategica in montagna. Courtenay and District Museum and Paleontology Centre e Comox Air Force Museum sono due delle principali attrazioni culturali della zona. Per gli amanti delle attività, invece, due tappe fondamentali sono Mount Washington Alpine Resort e Impianto di risalita di Handle Tow. Anche Courtenay and District Memorial Outdoor Pool e Seal Bay Nature Park meritano una visita. A real winter's tale

I never imagined that such a well "painted" winter picture could exist. All covered with white fluffy snow. Children play on the streets where motorized vehicles are not allowed.The house is stylish decorated. It has everything you need to feel cozy and relaxing. I don't have a single bad thing to say. Make a good memories take a book and skis and book it.

What a fantastic unit. Extremely clean and well laid out. Stunning view of the mountains. Visited in the summer so we had the whole village to ourselves. The Paradise Meadow hiking trails are wonderful any day of the year. I highly recommend Dicky Bird for a couple's retreat.

Lovely Getaway!!

It was everything we were hoping for. Located in the middle of the village, and with all the amenities. It's a great location and is one unit in a quadplex chalet. Definitely would recommend it.

We are two snow loving families who have grown up coming to Mount Washington since we were kids. We are thrilled to now be sharing that experience with our little ones and able to share our beautiful accommodation with others.
