Fabulous Girls weekend away

Great location and wonderful views. We stayed for three nights it was clean and comfortable and a lovely place to stay. Would recommend if anyone is looking to stay in Teignmouth Not all the instructions were correct. The internet was different to the instructions but was quickly sorted.

Our stay at the crab shack

Really good experience with fresh escapes. They were very helpful. The accommodation is in a fantastic location and the beds are extremely comfortable. We were disappointed with how the property was presented when we arrived. It wasn’t clean and there was no form of welcome (just a pint of milk so that we could have made a drink would have been nice). The kitchen doesn’t seem that well equipped and there are various issues with the windows. In our opinion the whole place could do with a refresh. Yes, the location is amazing but for the price you pay we would have expected more.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in Teignmouth

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in Teignmouth and there is lots to do in the area, we would love to come back again as we enjoyed it so much. Very pleased with our accommodation, spacious, clean and in a very good location. The views from the balcony in the morning and evening are perfect. Everything is close by and easy to find. The parking options were also good, easy to find and reasonable.

60th Birthday Weekend

The property was very nice with a fabulous view. However, the restaurant downstairs was closed which we weren't told about. I had tried calling to arrange some food to be delivered to the apartment (as described in the details), but didn't get an answer or a reply to a message that I left. It wasn't a disaster but a bit disappointing.There was a strong smell of cat urine at the bottom of the stairs which I emailed about but no-one replied.The apartment was nice but was a bit tatty in some areas. The sloping floors were quite disorientating - I found myself almost falling off the loo! We also felt one key wasn't enough as you have to lock the door from the inside otherwise it can be opened from the outside. The beds were very comfortable with nice bed linen. The kitchen was ok but if you wanted to cater for yourselves, it wouldn't be easy as not many pots and pans. The fridge was a really good size, but on the wonky floor, it was difficult to get things in and out without the door closing on you. Parking was fine, just a few minutes walk away. In the summer, we felt it would have been very noisy as it has a lot of food and drink outlets very close by.

Fantastic location

The crab shack apartment was the perfect venue to become fully immersed in the back beach bank holiday music festival. The apartment was clean, well appointed and spacious.

Beautiful Crab Shack apartment

This lovely apartment was a great location for us , so nicely decorated and a fantastic view . Not much improvement needed , the back bedroom could do with a blackout blind and as it was very hot when we were there a fan would have been useful. Also quieter seagulls if possible!

Second time staying at this property and it’s such a nice place. Great location for a good pint and something to eat. Got a small place feel but has all the amenities you need.

5 star location and apartment, but missing some basics.

Lovely location, easy access to the high street/beach/pubs, beautiful furnishings. A total 5 star location, but felt it was lacking in a few basics. We weren’t left enough toilet roll for 4 people for 4 days, no pepper, no cooking oil, no brown sauce/ketchup, no freezer/ability to make ice (there’s a beautiful cocktail bar, but no ice makes it feel unusable). Also, wish we were given more than 1 bath towel per person for a 4 day stay. Overall, we’d go back to Teignmouth and this property, but would hope for a few more amenities to make sure we can use the property as intended.

Seaside stay with family

Good location, right on the beach. It’s right next door to a pub and over a restaurant so bustling! Wouldn’t want to stay with a young family without current restrictions e.g pub closed at 9. Imagine it would be very noisy. The apartment is lovely however no where near as clean as it should have been, especially with Covid! Dirty behind toilets and dusty. Lack of simple amenities such as no dust pan brush (just dustpan and big brush), Hoover was filthy didn’t pick up anything. Cooker wasn’t working on arrival, got sorted eventually but not working well. You wouldn’t want to rely on it if cooking for a family. The amenity listing on the site was inaccurate, no washing machine or coffee machine. Overall we had a lovely time, we were just frustrated by the lack of attention and care to things that made us feel we overpaid.

Great location for a short break

We had a great stay at the crab shack, which is a spacious apartment with enough room for 4 adults and 4 children to have a comfortable stay. We stayed in winter during storms but still enjoyed the great views of the estuary. The apartment is clean but would benefit from some general ‘TLC’ to get it back up to ‘luxury‘ standard in time for summer.
