Of the 3 VRBOs we stayed in during our Italy vacation (Venice, Florence, Rome), the host in Venice was by far the BEST! Marco is so welcoming and helpful! The team arranged for a private water taxi from the hotel to the apartment, and when our plane arrived extra early, before the previous guest had checked out, Marco was able to suggest a nearby plaza for us to get breakfast. He called the water taxi to arrange a different drop off location and then Marco personally met us in the plaza to walk us to the apartment. The seamless welcome, after a long flight, was so appreciated (and definitely the best host we met in Italy). He gave us a map and lots of helpful tips. We also enjoyed the apartment. It's a mix of old world architecture that has been tastefully updated, especially in the modern bathrooms. We enjoyed staying in the quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist hustle. The water bus is a 1 min walk away and can take you to Murano for glass blowing or anywhere in Venice. Or in a 5-15 min walk, you can be back in the heart of the city. We loved our stay!

Fuimos en familia para celebrar el 50 aniversario de boda de mis padres, una casa perfecta con sus 4 habitaciones,camas comodissimas,cocina ,labavos todo perfecto barrio residencial a 15 minutls a pie de la piazza san marco ,ideal si coges un water taxi desde celestia al aeropuerto marco polo unos 15 minutos ,decir que Caterina nos atendio fantasticamente!! Nos contrato los traslados,lista de compra para al llegar ,tuvo un detalle de un prosecco para mis padres ,estoy super contenta del servicio de Caterina y del equipo viewsonvenice, si viajo a otro destino italia pensare en viewsonvenice,muchissimas gracias por una estancia genial! Por decir algo,alguna pastilla de lavaplatos de mas..

Excellent property for a large family/group. Luca met us at the closest water taxi drop off and walked is to the property to show us around. Air conditioning was a bit slow to get going but worked wonderfully. Wifi was great, washer was so nice to have. Very quiet part of the island, with a short w10-15 min walk to St.Marks square.

Our stay was amazing. This apartment was the most beautiful VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. I will never quit thinking about it! It’s also less than a 5 minute walk from the Celestia boat dock to the front door which makes it easy to jump on private water taxis to move around quickly. It was also so quiet at night. It was even more quiet than my home and I live on a farm! I hope to return again!

This lovely apartment in the Castello district. It is very close to public transport. The apartment has everything you need! It smelled a little musty. But after airing it out, the smell went away. One of the ironing boards was broken.

"it's like staying in a palace!"

spacious, well appointed, Venetian "palace" as our 20 year old son exclaimed, when we arrived for 3 days. Plenty of room & privacy for our blended family of 8.Marco was exceptional as our contact for the casa, Venice, restaurant recommendations,anything we needed, etc. Quiet neighborhood, 15 minute walk from the busy tourist area, supermarket 10 minute walk. Thoroughly enjoyed our last 3 days in Italy, after starting 3 days in Roma, then a small tuscan village, Montespertoli for 4 days and finally at the Tesori di Celestia.

Loved our stay in this apartment that we have rented twice!

We liked the size of the apartment for 6 people, the charm of the living room and main bedroom, and the location close to the 2 main Biennale sites. All the people from Views on Venice were lovely, very responsive in every way, and helpful in booking water taxis and tours. We felt well taken care of. The couch upstairs could use a bit of cleaning. More dish towels would be useful. The upstairs dryer didn’t seem to be working. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay!

A wonderful weekend spent celebrating with friends in this beautiful apartment.

The apartment was beautifully presented, so spacious, clean and warm. It was a lovely space to spend time in, rather than just a bed for the night after a days sightseeing. The meet and greet from lovely Enrica was fabulous. The location was very good - loved being in a more local neighbourhood away from the crowds. Teatowel? Otherwise can't really think of anything.

Beautiful place; Nice neighborhood

We loved our time in this beautiful apartment. It is decorated in a sumptuous old world style, but with nice modern bathrooms and kitchen. The neighborhood is out of the tourist fray and was so quiet at night that we really felt like locals as we walked home each night from dinner. Bakery and grocery nearby and easy walking to restaurants. Highly recommend Trattoria da Jonny, which was recommended by our host. My only caution is kind of a strange one: the church bells ring a lot (not at night, though). On the Saturday afternoon we were there, they rang hundreds of times. I don't know if it was a special occasion, but after a while it got kind of annoying. The preschool is noisy from 8:30-10:00 on weekdays, but we were up and didn't mind the noise of kids playing. I'd had some concern that maybe we'd be too far out from tourist sites, but Venice is small and very walkable and every little passageway and bridge is picturesque, so we always enjoyed our journeys on foot. It was very nice to "live" away from the crowds. There is a vaporetto (small ferry) stop just two minutes' walk away and the vaporetto route that serves the Grand Canal is 10-15 minutes' walk. Our check in with Catarina was very friendly and helpful and the house has a terrific house manual with instructions and recommendations. Highly recommended!

Comfortable and convenient - away from tourists

We loved our stay here. Super convenient to the Celestia dock, so easy to grab a vaporetto (only a 2 min walk).. Very quiet neighborhood - but only 5-10 min walk away from all the places you need to go. We were met at the dock by a check-in rep who walked us through the features of the house (which is LOVELY). There is a first floor separate apartment if you don’t want to do stairs (though honestly, if stairs aren’t your thing - Venice may not be a good choice!) Bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. AC worked great. The decor was fantastic - we really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. The management company was very responsive and helped arrange transportation to and from the airport. They also were very quick to send out a repairman to fix one of the AC units on the fritz - and their communication on this was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

A quiet beauty

Far from the bustle and congestion of tourist spots, Tesori di Celestia sits in a quiet neighborhood. With modern appointments contrasted with vintage architecture, you’ll feel like you’re in a beautiful Italian Villa while enjoying a fully functional kitchen and bathrooms that are beautifully designed with plenty of hot water, space, and towels. Six of us enjoyed Tesori di Celestia for five nights. There was plenty of room for all of us, especially since the main level bedroom has another kitchen and bathroom for guests who don’t want to traverse the stairs to the main level. We loved the place, had a smooth check in, and didn’t mind the walk to the typical spots you’d visit while in Venice. There are quaint, locally-visited restaurants and shops just around the corner.

Very nice stay

The apartment was exactly as expected. It was clean and well stocked with dishes, plates, etc. The appliances were top quality. The location was very quiet because it was not in the main tourist area. We considered that a plus but it did entail a little longer walk to St Mark’s. However there is a valporetto stop very close by. Being on the East side of the island means easy access to Murano and Burano and the airport (the alilaguna ferry to VCE is just one stop away). We really enjoyed our stay.

Great Venice location out of the hectic tourist areas.

The property was beautiful as described and very Venetian in style. The only caveat is the Preschool playground the property overlooks. It wasn’t noisy on the weekend but the weekdays are typical of a busy Preschool playground.

Everything about this property was perfect. It was an absolutely beautiful space that is set up for privacy. The first floor apartment was helpful since we traveled with a friend who had a separate space. The upper floor set up well with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The property came with everything we needed, was in a lovely quiet neighborhood and was within walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. The rental agency provided the most helpful service that I have yet experienced. They provide free-of-charge concierge services that we took advantage of. They were able to set up water taxis and tours (for a lower price than booking directly).

Incredibly gorgeous apartment!

We travelled with 5 others to Venice for an elopement. The apartment down stairs was beautiful and perfect for the parents to get away for rest if they needed. Up stairs was just as, if not more gorgeous with beautifully hand painted details throughout the interior design. Everything was perfect and Views on Venice was there for our every need and accommodation throughout the entire trip. When we return to Venice we will not book with any other company. Views on Venice is if!!! Absolutely nothing.

Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung der Wohnung und die guten Betten. Dass die Lage etwas ausserhalb der üblichen Touristenpfade war, hat uns sehr zugesagt. Nicht viel, eine Kaffeemaschine wäre gut bei 8 Personen in der Wohnung.

The spaces were great. Especially the main gathering room. A grandparent and family of six all were comfortable. Host communicated very well. Convenient to Vaparetto and ferry to airport. A bit further to the San Marco plaza than we would have liked. Selected the apartment for its size and beauty.

Bliss in Venice

This is a fantastic place to call home while visiting Venice if you crave peace and tranquility away from the crowds. But you are still a short walk to the highlights of Venice. Good local bakery, grocery and wine shop just 2 minute walk away if you need to fix a meal. Lovely setup in the apartment for a family. Everyone was sad to leave. The hosts were excellent in guiding us in and out as needed. We would love to return.

Views on Venice was founded in the late 1990’s when the concept of short term apartment rentals was in its infancy and rarely considered an option by most visitors to the city. As a ‘thirty-something’ Venetian excited by the new business and communication opportunities offered by the internet, I decided to link up with a close childhood friend in creating a partnership which, at the time, was a novelty in Venice.
The idea we had in mind was to approach the traditional management of my family’s apartments from an entirely different angle, while at the same time resisting the attentions of those wanting to transform my family's palazzo into a prestigious hotel.
Our aim was to offer these apartments, as well as those of friends, for rental to an international clientele who’d take pleasure in the comfort, freedom and authenticity of ‘living at home as a Venetian’ rather than merely observing the city from the confines of an anonymous hotel room or suite.
The common denominator then, as now, was to offer ‘something extra’ amidst an already extraordinary city - an added dimension which turns a ‘stay’ into an ‘experience’ and a 'dream' into 'reality'.
