Pet-friendly and great location

Had a wonderful stay at Woodlands 34 for the 4th of July weekend. There was more than enough space for 3 adults and 1 dog. The rooms, living space and kitchen were clean. While it was warm outside, the bedrooms on the first floor stayed nice and cool. And when upstairs in the living room, opening the window by the staircase and the sliding door to the balcony - it let in a wonderful breeze of fresh air. The view from the windows above the balcony door was just amazing as well. It was a great getaway from the city!

Spendy for the quality

Expected a nicer place from the listing. The complex if loud...dogs barking, workers (not staff) smoking every afternoon afterwork in the parking lot making it disgusting to walk outside and getting whiffs inside, can't keep home cool in warmer weather- sleeping tough bc of that. Lots of spider web nests in house. Pool and Jacuzzi were good for the kiddos. Staff onsite was nice. Location fine. Check in/out easy.

In general very nice but it was super cold when we arrived. Aroud 40F in winter is not the best for travel with children. Fireplaced saved the situation but it took 3-4 hours to heat up

Could have been better

Nice home BUT PULL OUT MATTRESS IS AWFUL

The home was nice and cozy, the shuttle stop is close. BUT DONT GET STUCK SLEEPING ON THE PULL OUT BED. The mattress on the couch pull out is from the 70s and maybe an inch thick. You can practically see the springs sticking out, it’s lumpy. It was advertised as a sleeping place but no one is getting any sleep on that thing.

Close to 2 bus lines

The size of the condo is nice & it is conveniently located between 2 bus lines Red stop 5, green stop 46). 1) the ski storage outdoor closet door doesn’t even shut let alone lock. 2) the front door lock is very very finicky and the last night of our stay we couldn’t even close the front door completely so snow blew in until we pulled a piece of furniture in front of the door. 3) the hallway heater is super loud & the rattling at 4:30AM woke up a few of us and we were unable to go back to sleep. I think the door/lock issues are caused by the cold temperatures (single digits To teens Fahrenheit). However on this same trip (Same week same temps) we have stayed at another place and the doors worked just fine. Good kitchen, nice view. I might stay here again if the doors & loud heater were fixed. Helpful that the sidewalks & parking are shoveled & scraped regularly. Laundry room on site is open only 8A-8P which means I couldn’t do laundry here at all so I had to go to a 24hr laundry mat 1.25 miles away.

Nice Place, but....

Aside from the Wifi needing to be reset with a new ID and PWD, carpet needing a shampoo. Ceiling fan light was out and upstairs toilet flush is too loose. Just the cleaning and maintenance could have been better. This old place was updated with some nice features. Mattresses were good and bedding clean and newer. No cable guide, but it is a vacation rental, not a hotel!

Great Home with good amenities, gets quite warm during summer

The home is great with wonderful amenities and great location. One thing to note though is that there is no a/c and the bedrooms do-not have fan so it gets very warm during summer.

does not have a washer/dryer as stated

It is a nicely set up condo. It's quiet, the neighborhood is nice, nice view of the mountain and it is fairly comfortable (aside from the master bed and pillows...which were REALLY uncomfortable). I was disappointed to learn upon arrival that the condo only has a shared coin-op laundry and not a private washer dryer as implied by Hotels.com. The cleaning could be better as well. I noticed the light switches were not wiped down and had dirt and fingerprints on some. The mirror in the master bedroom had something funky all over the lower portion and the baths in the bathrooms had left over soap stuck to the shower door. It did not feel super clean and I did some of my own wiping down. I liked this place overall--but suggest that the cleaning be more thorough and that the sites that offer your condo for rent update the washer/dryer situation.

Nice location and setting

This unit has a nice layout inside and view of Mammoth Rock. The location is close to the Old Mammoth road stores and restaurants. The bedrooms are downstairs so those who want to go to be early won't be disturbed. The kitchen was nicely furnished and the appliances seem fairly new. . The living room furniture is looking a bit worn though, and none of the bathroom door locks work. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Awesome, well-appointed townhome in great location.

We enjoyed the clean and well appointed kitchen, beautiful stove and living room, and comfortable bedrooms. The place was clean and in a great location close to everything. Highly recommended!

Absolutely No Complaints

My siblings and I have been staying in various units in the Woodlands each summer for 30 years now. As our families have grown we've had to rent more and more units, so we've seen many of them. I have absolutely no complaints with Unit 34. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, mixing bowls, etc. Note: there isn't a slow cooker as there is in some units. The unit was well cleaned and had plenty of towels, sheets, etc. I appreciated having access to the outside closet for golf clubs and tennis rackets. The wifi was better in this condo than others we've stayed in.

Cozy Well-Appointed Condo

The condo was quite nice, especially for the price. The bathrooms and kitchen had been nicely upgraded and the kitchen was well stocked. The furnishings could use an update but they were comfortable. The only problem was that there were dead moths on the floor and live moths flitting around. Kind of a random thing. We got used to them and we tried to get them out of the condo over the week we were there.

Winter Break Family Time

Perfect for a family of four. The Woodlands complex is in a great location. The condo was very comfortable for when we were not out enjoying the snow. Kudos to the Vacasa staff for being so responsive: when we arrived, the heater in the kids’ bedroom did not work. I texted Vacasa, received a response within minutes, and the awesome Cole came and fixed the heater within 15 minutes. This is our second time booking with Vacasa and after this great customer experience, Vacasa will now be our go-to for booking vacation rentals.

Overall great

Our short weekend visit was nice. Property is well kept up. The only downer we had was some a quite disgusting substance (difficult to identify whether it was dried up human fecal or really bad smelling dirt) we found on one of the bed's comforters. It was so disgusting that we had to give my son an alternative blanket to use. We had a busy schedule and no time to deal with an official complaint. I think we'll consider booking the same unit again but will then contact the owner prior to arrival to make sure that all bedding is clean.
