The pool alarm going in and out the back door each time was very annoying. The pool got alot of leaves, bugs and clutter. A very limited supply of toilet paper and we ran out. Was not at all happy with the MGT. who would not allow us a later check out time when the property had no one renting the place for another week. Other wise, it worked out great. Thanks

Coral Reef

This is a spectacular property. We had stayed in this resort previously but not this property. It has everything we would ever need. It has a private pool and hot tub- its a half block from the community pool and workout centre- and 20 minutes to any of 3 great beaches. There were 10 of our family celebrating our 70th birthdays. The kids were happy in the private pool or at the community pool. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the Ohana out front which gave lots of privacy. The garage was chocked full of all the gear we needed to head to the beaches. A great property which provided us a great vacation!!

Spring break family vacation

The Coral Reef property was better than we could imagine. Our family of 8 shared the house and everyone was so pleased that each room had their own private bathroom including an extra half bath. The house was clean and well maintained. The amenities such as beach toys/chairs worked out perfectly for our trips to the private beach as well as a public beach. Once we figured out how to operate the slider door alarm, we were good to go. The pool and outside area were perfect for relaxing. However, we could not figure out how to open the door which led to the outside shower. The Ohana suite gave nice privacy but when you use the open shower be prepared for the water to cover most of the bathroom floor as the drainage area does not dip down to remove the water. Other than that, we highly recommend this place and would definitely consider returning!

Disappointed

The property exterior was dirty with lots of death plants and gecko droppings everywhere. The shelves in bathroom closets were dusty and moldy, light bulbs in kitchen and dining area out, wifi not working in master bedroom. We called to property management to complain but they seem to not response immediately finally sending someone over to clean the exterior 3 day after we arrived and sending a handyman the day before our departure to fix wifi. The management team seem to be clueless about the state of the property and should have checked to make sure it was clean before our arrival. We sent a lot of $$$ and expected to stay in a clean and fresh home instead of this.

BEAUTIFUL DISGUSTING HOME

DO NOT RENT FROM PARADISE IN HAWAII (PIH)!!! They do not maintain their properties and you will be disappointed in whatever home you book through them. CLEANLINESS We paid a hefty cleaning fee to stay in this beautiful home and it was filthy upon arrival. There was a used tissue and candy under our bed, the kids found a swimsuit top in their room, and if you look up or down you will find grime, dust, and cobwebs. Our floor had not been swept, vacuumed, or mopped. When I called to inform that the home was dirty they said “Every home has been inspected prior to arrival.” I said that it didn’t matter if it had been inspected if they’re not going to actually clean it. I requested our cleaning fee be refunded and they did not reply. The home was vacant the night prior to our arrival and even if it wasn’t, there is no excuse for me having to pickup after previous guests. POORLY MAINTAINED Multiple areas of this home needed maintenance. Furniture and appliances are broken or don’t work the way they should. When we arrived, there was an empty plugged-in refrigerator in the garage. We thought it was weird, but we’re excited to use it. The fourth night we were there some dude knocked on our door and told us the refrigerator belonged to somebody else. He wanted us to empty it so he could take it away. I called the rental agency in the morning and arranged to keep it through our stay. If the fridge really wasn’t ours, it shouldn’t have been there to begin with or been plugged in or they even could’ve put a note on it
 BLACK MOLD This home has a moisture issue in the main house and Ohana suite. The main home was damp and smelled of mildew. Ohana suite had black mold that spewed from the air conditioner and was never fully addressed despite having an A/C compaby coming out to service it. We slept without a/c so black mold didn’t spew on us in our bed. SMOKE DETECTORS MALFUNCTION Close to the end of our stay we had the smoke detector going off randomly. Needless to say after all we had been through with this shady property management company, I was pretty frustrated and may have left an f bomb or three on their after hours answering machine. We borrowed a ladder from the neighbor and took the smoke detector down. The next day, PIH had somebody enter the home without much notice or permission to re-install the smoke detector. I would totally stay in a home just like this again if it weren’t managed by the shadiest company on the island.

There were 7 of us, 3 generations. 3 adults and 4 teenagers. The layout of this unit was perfect for our group. A couple in the master suite, 2 kids in each bedroom, and Grandma in the ohana suite. There was enough space for privacy for all. The media room was a bonus.The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts, lunch, snacks, and cooking dinner every night. (Thank you, Son, for cooking.) The pool and spa were used after fun days in the sun at the beach. I would rent this unit again, if our group needed this setup. (I travel with different family groups.)

Endless Summer Villa

Wonderful family getaway - home away from home with all the amenities to make this a fun, relaxing and memorable vacation. Loved the hot tub to relax after swimming in the beautiful beaches and bbq at home.

Can't go wrong here!

I was a little hesitant to reserve this place because I had seen some negative reviews of the PIH support and customer service. I am happy to say it all seemed unfounded to me. The PIH staff always responded in a prompt manner, provided good communication, and was rapid at addressing the one small issue we had. The house is amazing, and having the pool (and Jacuzzi) in the backyard was well worth the extra expense. Our kids LOVED it, and my sister and brother-in-law who never go to the pool with us actually used the pool too! The property is super close to some amazing beaches and the house had plenty of swimming and snorkel gear for us to use. The gym was also just across the street and had some good gear so I could get some training in too. I really can't say enough good about it, except the price. It was expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for and for us (6 adults and 2 kids) it was well worth it. Highly recommend this property - it was amazing.

Excellent stay in Mauna Lani - Puako

This property was compact, yet spacious enough for a 2 families of 4 each. The sunsets from the lani were great way to end a day of fun on Hawaii. The home is very nicely provisioned with nice linens, sporting equipment, kitchen items (including a powerful blender and good knives) and nooks and crannies for alone time. The location is very good as there is a “private” beach for use and is very close to other fantastic beaches (we loved Hapuna the best). The small pool was used every day by the kids, and those wanting a larger pool experience could walk across the street to the community pools. Hawaii being so big, many experiences were a drive away, and we found that from hikes, to the volcano, to swimming with dolphins was fairly centrally located (~1 hour away). Communication with the management company was easy, accurate and had a comprehensive guide available. Both of our families were very happy staying at coral reef specifically and the location of Ka Milo in Mauna Lani in general.

Simply outstanding

Surprised by the the condition of the house: artfully decorated with subtle elegance, kitchen with top gear gadgets and best brand appliances. When one of the showers did not function to its max, repair service came promptly. They even set the door code as my phone number. The owner and the managing staff deserve a 7-star. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your place.

Fantastic - Great property with the best of everything

This was a great property and well worth it! Quiet and enjoyable with plenty of room. EVERYTHING needed for the home and bathrooms was provided in ample supply and we did not need to purchase anything to take care of the property or to do laundry. The only issue we had was the Ohana HVAC but it was addressed after a couple of days and the property manager/s were great with speedy response! I would definitely stay again without reserve and use Jeff and Suzanne! Thank you for everything!!

Perfect Family House

The house was exactly as pictured and exceeded our expectations. The home was perfect for our family - 6 adults and 2 small children. When we arrived, the house was clean, and the arrival instructions were easy. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes, glasses, and every possible utensil and appliance. For the beach, there are plenty of chairs, snorkel sets, sand toys, and boogie boards. And there are great bikes. The location of the house was great for us - a short walk to the grocery store and other shops and a five minute drive to the beach. The community gym and pool are across the street and were never crowded. The few problems we had - the pool heater wasn't working for the first few days and we couldn't find a key to the community pool - were fixed promptly. Highly recommended.
