My wife (Laurie) sincerely appreciates your positive feedback regarding the decorations in the house! She put her heart into the home trying to make our guests feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed staying in a large spacious beach theme home. We believe this separates our home from many others on the rental market! The higher quality of the furnishings and decor is much different than other beach houses. Thank you for the five star review! We are thrilled all three (3) families had plenty of room and enjoyed the private beach. The custom made bunk room sleeping up to 4 guests is a new feature to the home and the individual flat screen HD tv's with private nautical reading lights seem to be a big hit! My wife Laurie & I are so happy your group of 16 ladies enjoyed the beachfront decks, multiple bedrooms, and gourmet kitchen! The second living area from the main great room is normally a separate getaway space for families with young children, teens or college-age kids to watch movies or play video games. It was great to hear about the adults finding their own relaxing spot to watch the Winter Olympics on the large 55" HD TV! Thank you for staying with us on the beach. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review to this luxurious property located directly on the beach. Unfortunately, it does not reflect how unhappy you were even before your arrival to the property. First, you were upset and complained that you could not check in early with the cleaning crew working hard to prepare for your arrival. Next, you complained that all the TV's were set to music to greet you and that you could not change the channel. You immediately contacted me because the TV's were playing music and not the Little League World Series that one of your guests preferred. Apparently, you did not know how to change channels on the TV's and could not find the remotes that we found in each bedroom. I responded quickly with instructions on how to change channels using a remote control. On a separate note, I am confused as to how you assert the remotes were missing batteries and not working if all the TV's were playing music for your enjoyment? You stated some light bulbs were out, but failed to mention how Joey, my maintenance man, was at the house within minutes replacing a burned-out light bulb and locating "missing remotes" only to find them in each bedroom you reported missing. Additionally, the maintenance man informed you that the refrigerator and ice machine were not cooling properly since they were left open by you excessively when loading it in the summer heat and the refrigerator and ice maker needed 24 hours to catch up and cool. The round glass table did have a table cloth placed on top for your protection due damage from a prior guest while we await the arrival of the new glass to be installed. The Bose sound system does work if turned on properly. Recognizing you were having issues changing channels to the TV's, our staff would have been more than happy to explain how to turn on the sound system for your enjoyment. Having sent Joey the maintenance man each time to quickly address any of your complaints, I am perplexed as to why you never reported a toilet seat or paper towel holder not functioning properly. These items are checked after each guest's departure and would have immediately been addressed had you brought this to my attention or to the staff already at the home to ensure your satisfaction. Since the beach home was completely remodeled in 2021 with brand new kitchen appliances, outdoor tile on the front staircase and 2 upper outdoor decks, the appliances are all in great working condition. The front stone tiles can get slippery after a rain, but there are brand new handrails on both sides of the staircase in case of such occurrence. Also, the front stair lights do turn on but it does require you to press the switch on. This beach front luxury property has consistent stellar 5 star reviews since 2014. Unfortunately, your review is unlike the 5 star reviews we received the exact day of your review from the guest immediately following your stay who booked on a different online platform that submitted the following: “Overall rating 5 Stars. David is an amazing host. His home is just unbelievable.
