We would love to hear from you again NB - For future guests, do note the pool IS cleaned twice weekly in accordance with the guidelines and the pool pump is on regularly at the optimum recommended too. However, since this is the countryside you do get insects and between cleans and when pump 'resting' you need to use the net to get them out if they are not picked up by the skimmers. Thanks!

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the house and the area, despite the poor weather we had that week. I agree, it really is a special location ! For future guests, do note that the road up to the house is a normal large European road until the last 8 minutes, which is up a bendy lightly used country road, but which is good quality and where there is space for 2 cars to pass on most of it, and where not, there are passing places. There is room for the local bus to pass, and lorries to deliver etc. and there are barriers in place where necessary .

We are so sorry the 2nd fridge was not chilling properly on arrival, and also that there was a temporary washing machine handle in place whilst we were waiting for a new one. Hot water disappearing at the bottom apartment 2 days into your holiday.must have been the icing on the cake, and incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, all the items were outside our control but fixed as quickly as possible with engineers arriving within 24 hours maximum of items reported. With regards to arrival, we did send detailed directions to you, with a google map link too, which we understand you did not download. We are glad you found the property with telephone guidance from us. Thank you for your comments re the driveway. This is a 160M long country approach and the land here is not part of the gardens so it is not strimmed and cut each week as we do with the gardens and pool area etc. The sides of the driveway are strimmed down a few times per year. We will however pass your comments to the gardener. Re your comments concerning the advert, we have re-read it and cannot find any errors, but please feel free to contact us and show us where the advert is incorrect. If you are referring to the issue re disabilities, it does not say on the advert that this house is suitable for guests with disabilities and I am afraid we cannot find any correspondence from you at all advising you wanted this particular house for this reason. We are glad you found some positives, and enjoyed those beautiful views, and we hope you enjoyed your lunch with the chef too. Again, we are sorry that you had such a bad start to your stay. We hope to hear from you another time, Best wishes, Lorraine at tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests, it is only the last 5 minutes of the journey that is on a bendy and hilly road, and for most of that it is wide enough for school buses etc. Mostly 2 cars can pass and if not, then there are passing places. After it has been done once, it becomes easy.

Thank you for your 5 star review. We are so glad you loved this beautiful spacious house and found it great to have so many bathrooms. It is good too that you loved the pool and the meal from the chef! We will pass on your suggestion re insect screens, but they are usually deterred if shutters are closed when all the lights are on. For future guests, do note that the scorpions in the area are totally harmless, and quite rare to see, (although I agree a bit scary to see for the first time!) and they are very shy. They have no desire to bite (we have tried to antagonise as a test) and in 22 years we have never heard of anyone being stung. They are pretty small, and you simply place a glass over the wall (which is where they will sit) and toss them outside, just as you would a spider. Please also note if you are google translating this review, the guest is NOT referring of course to bed bugs coming into the house due to no nets, but to a little harmless bug you see in the Italian countryside! NB - for future guests, whilst this villa is in a very rural location, there is a restaurant a couple of minutes drive away and another a further 5 minutes on, and you can drive to town in two different directions in less than 15 minutes with facilities, bars, restaurants and so forth. There is also lots to see in the area - we provide a detailed information pack to guests. So, yes a great mountain location but still not isolated.
