この広々とした風通しの良いホテルは、細心の注意を払って改装されており、オリジナルの栗の梁、手作りの栗窓（一部は伝統的なトスカーナ様式のアーチ型窓）、露出した石細工が自慢です。

モダンな快適さは忘れられていません。4つのベッドルーム、4つのバスルーム（2つはバスルーム付き）、大きなキッチン、リビング/ダイニングエリア、ダイニングルームから続く「静かな部屋」があります。 各部屋からは素晴らしい景色を眺めることができ、バスルームでは、アプアネ山脈の一部である有名なウオモモルトの素晴らしい景色を眺めることができます！

ヴィラのデザインは、ベッドルーム、リビング、キッチンのスペースの面で互いにプライバシーを必要とする大規模なグループに理想的ですが、それでも一緒に時間を過ごしたいと考えています。 すべての人が内と外の両方で食事をすることができます。

外には、美しいプライベートプール（6M x 12M、内部階段あり）、非常に広々とした日光浴テラスがあり、残りは芝生エリアに囲まれています。

Absolutely stunning

The house is beautifully restored, very well equipped, tastefully, yet practically furnished and the pool is clean and very enjoyable. We had a great week here for a get-together with the American branch of the family and were made feel welcome from the get-go. The owners, Alan and Mel are extremely helpful and kind and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the house and the grounds. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool or playing table tennis and we did a few choice trips to nearby towns and sights. But mostly we just spent time together and enjoyed the fantastic views of the mountains and the peace and quiet of the countryside with a glass of wine on the terrace. Perfect vacation!

A great place for good friends to get together.

We stayed at Orbaci for a week, we were 3 families each with 2 teenagers. The house was perfect for our reunion. It offered something for everybody. The foodie adults found a great kitchen totally kited out with everything you could imagine, the teenagers had the pool the pingpong table and games, the 1000 piece puzzle was even attempted. There were two lovely large tables one inside one outside for our lavish evening meals. The bedrooms were lovely with clean crisp sheets and soft towels. There was obviously a lot of thought and care put into making this property perfect. The other amazing point to mention about Orbaci is the location, incredible scenery, a lovely little town 5 minutes away and many other little villages to wonder around, a visit to Lucca is also a must.

Beautiful house set in spectacular countryside

We had a fantastic holiday at Orbaci - we were 3 families with 6 teenage children and the house was extremely comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate such a large group. It is set high up in the hills above Castelnuovo so views spectacular. The arrangement of the rooms in the property was perfect for our families - the 4 teenage girls really loved being in the self contained downstairs apartment and although we cooked the main meals up in the big kitchen upstairs, we used to apartment kitchen for breakfast/lunch everyday and ate outside all but 1 evening! The owners Alun and Mel were fantastic hosts ensuring everything was perfect for our stay and advising us on where to eat/shop/buy wine as well as providing us with some home produce both grown and baked whilst we were there! They recommended a fantastic dining experience in a local 'fortress' within walking distance which was so unique it was a perfect way to end out 2 week holiday! Castelnuovo is a pretty medieval town and good to explore - we walked into town every morning to collect bread and even managed the slightly longer walk uphill on the way back some mornings tho got quite a nice little system going of arranging a lift back when we had wine to carry as well! Local supermarket (5 minute) drive down mountain was excellent plus weekly market meant it was easy to self cater and the standard of the local produce was extremely high! We made trips to Lucca and Florence whilst we were there but spent most of our time relaxing by the pool, reading and playing table tennis. A very relaxing holiday and one we would definitely look to do again! Sarah Gage

Fantastic property in a beautiful part of the world.

This really was the perfect property for our holiday. 10 of us, a mixture of adults, teens and little ones had a wonderfull time. The villa has been thoughtfully designed with all modern amenities required yet styled beautifully with a sympathetically rural feel. The pool was incredible, a perfect size for a large family group and combined with the rest of the outside space , meant we never felt like we were on top of one another. The location of the property was also a delight with amazing views from every window yet close to a good sized town with all the shops, supermarkets and restaurants you could need. Some of us managed the walk into and back from town a few times, but be warned it is a challenge as it is up a steep hill. Even so it is only a 25 minute walk and perfect for burning off those pasta calories. If you cant face the walk, a taxi was only 10 euros wich was great after a night out for a family meal. Thw wildlife around the villa was great too, we saw a group of deer at the end of the garden one morning, pheasant in the afternoons and bats in the evening. We didn't spot them, but we did hear wild boar on a few occasions as well. Our hosts Alan and Mel were supberb, right from pulling out all the stops to get the villa ready ahead of schedule as they knew we were arriving early to giving us plenty of advise about where to eat and which of the numerous picturesque local hilltop towns and villages to explore, I would definately recomend Corfino for the view and delightful backstreets, Barga is also a must for a slightly larger town and you simply have to visit Lucca with its authentic period architecture and amazing city walls you could easily spend a couple of days there soaking it all in. With plenty of museums and even an annual music festival that this year featured artists such as Green Day, Rag n Bone man and The Rolling Stones it really did have it all. We cant thank Alan, Mel enough for the chance to stay in their lovely propery and we look forward to hopefully seeing them again in the future. I would also like to thank Lorraine who manages the bookings for her excellent communication which helped make the process so painless. If you haven't booked a property through homeaway before and haven't been to Garfagnana, what are you waiting for?

Charmantes, großzügiges Haus mit StilDas „Orbaci“-Bauernhaus vereint rustikalen toskanischen Charme mit modernem Komfort. Die liebevolle Renovierung, die Holzdecken, Natursteinwände und stilvollen Details schaffen eine warme, einladende Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt. Viel Platz für alle – drinnen wie draußenDie Schlafzimmer sind großzügig und gemütlich – ideal aufgeteilt für unsere große Gruppe. Mysigt hus med fantastisk natur

Vårt sällskap på 3 vuxna och 6 barn från 11-16 bodde där en vecka i juni 2024. Värdarna var mycket trevliga och huset var fint och smakfullt med bra ytor för större sällskap både inne och ute och hade en fantastisk utsikt.Nära finns bland annat canyoning och många härliga vandringar i dalen och högt upp på bergen. Vi utforskade stigar och leder direkt från huset, bland annat förbi den närliggande borgen. Från en närliggande by går en led upp ovanför trädgränsen, med milsvid utsikt hela vägen ner till Medelhavet. Staden Castelnuovo hade en charmig gammal stadskärna med flera restauranger och ställen med god hemmagjord gelato.

Toller Ort für geruhsame Familienferien

Wir (6 Erwachsene, 5 Kinder) verbrachten eine Woche im wunderschönen Haus, welches wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen können. Das Haus ist sehr gut unterhalten und hervorragend ausgestattet. Der Pool ist gross und gepflegt. In Castelnuovo di Carfagnana findet man zudem alles, was man braucht. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig. Wir haben in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Haus Rehe und Füchse gesehen. Das heisst gleichzeitig auch: Wer Halligalli sucht ist hier definitiv fehl am Platz. Ein Auto ist unseres Erachtens zudem ein „must have“.

a wonderful Italian villa

My family and I (7 adults and an Infant) have just returned from a 1 week holiday in Orbaci in what I can only describe as a wonderful Italian villa situated a short distance from the small town of Castelnuova. The large spacious four bedroom three story villa had everything you could possibly need including large and small dining areas, spacious pool, table tennis, and a small "library". Underneath the main house was a separate self-contained two bedroomed apartment area which was ideal for my wife and me. The pool was spotless and maintained to a very high standard. Alan and Mel were wonderful and provided a beautiful meal for our group. Too top it all they baked the most wonderful lemon drizzle cake as a birthday gift to one of our group. I could not recommend this property highly enough as a place to relax and explore beautiful Tuscany.

Wonderful hospitality, great location, beautiful home

The location was great amidst the mountains with the best views and night skies (I have seen more stars in one night than in 25 years in The Netherlands) and even a group of passing deer one fine morning. Alan and Mel were great hosts who take loving care of their property and their guests. We felt welcome. Our group consisted of 9 people, ages 16-79, and we were quite comfortable. The pool was excellent, the pool area providing some pleasantly shaded areas. Our stay could not have been better. Highly recommended.

Lovely & relaxing holiday!

As a family of 30-70 year olds we had a brilliant time! The view & outside space was amazing! The villa was in a lovely, traditional style & provided all that we needed. The owners were really friendly & helpful, including staying with us to sort out our broken down, hired vehicle on our arrival ,to Castelnuovo.! The swimming pool area was delightful & very relaxing with a great size pool. The town, in walking distance, was really nice & we had a great time at the their festival on our last evening. Thank you very much for our amazing, celebratory meal whilst with you! Would definitely stay again! PS Home away -please make sure you send visitor package of instructions & directions

Beautiful villa with stunning views

Stayed here for 1 week with friends. We are 4 adults, 1 teenager and 4 under 12,s. We all enjoyed the space and the pool. We were luck enough to be able to book the owners to cook for us which was fabulous! We managed to walk into town down the steep hill on 5 occasions and it was no problem for the children - it took around 25 mins, There was a few nice restaurants to choose from. We got a mini bus taxi back on each evening from the wonderful Antonio! It’s a long way to beach but we went there on our last day as we had a whole day to fill before our flight home. Alan and Mel are wonderful hosts and even dropped off some fresh produce from their farm on a few mornings. Thanks for a great stay!

Stunning villa for a fantastic family holiday

My family and I (7 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 child) have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Orbaci and I cannot fault the villa. The photographs barely do this beautiful property justice. Set within a Tuscan hillside it is rural yet only a short distance from the lively Castelnuova. The house has been lovingly restored and has everything you could possibly need. The pool is carefully maintained and provided a much needed cooling off particularly for the kids. The grounds and surroundings are stunning as are the mountain views. The nearby towns and villages are great for exploring, and the villa was a great base for trips to Barga, Lucca and Florence. Our hosts Alan and Mel were so lovely, always on hand to help with anything we needed, and the meal Mel prepared for us one evening was out of this world..probably the best we had during our whole visit! To top it all off we had the pleasure of two lovely cats that live outside in the grounds. There is nothing negative to say about Orbaci or its owners, we loved everything about it. We hope to someday be back and I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you so much!

Amazing views. The hosts were wonderful and so helpful. Thanks to Alan for great suggestions for places to eat. There is nothing negative to say about this property. Ideal for our family with ages from 5 to 74. The pool was a huge hit. Everyone had a brilliant holiday. Looking forward to going back.

Perfect Family Vacation in Tuscany

My family (8 adults, 4 kids) spent an unforgettable week at Orbaci. The farmhouse, garden, terrace and pool, everything was in perfect condition. The location in the hills of C.d.G. is amazing and there is plenty of space for everybody. Restaurants and grocery shopping within 5min driving distance. And most importantly: The hosts were amazing: Very friendly, helpful with every question and even prepared a delicious cake. We will be back!

Perfect holiday villa and location

We had the most amazing week holiday at orbaci villa. The location was perfect for all our needs, it was a great balance of rural and close to lovely villages and towns. The villa was perfect it had everything you need, we were there with 8 friend and loved sitting at the outside table ever night eating, drinking and laughing. Thanks very much to our hosts Alan and Mel amazing help recommending restaurants and areas to visit, Alan was really helpful arranging bikes for couple of our party. Thanks to Lorraine who managed the booking for her excellent communication and informative prior to holiday. We all would definitely go back to villa.

Beautiful house in stunning nature for 2 families

We enjoyed a wonderful week in late June at Alan and Mel´s villa! We were 2 families with 5 kids (ages 8-13) and appreciated the combination of rural peace with stunning views of nearby mountains, and the ability explore the rich area of Garfagnana. Alan and Mel are excellent hosts: the house, pool and garden are well maintained. They helped us on many occasions with restaurant tips, making telephone calls to local stores, as well as several surprises we weren´t expecting (some great bottles of wine and a cake which Mel made herself!) The kids enjoyed the pool, ping pong tables, and all the games inside. The adults were mostly concerned with food production and the kitchen provided everything we needed to compose fantastic meals, which most often we enjoyed on the patio overlooking the pool. The rooms and beds were very good. Clean, spacious bathrooms. The feeling of light and airy was prevalent. The location was ideal for us: Castelnuovo is a charming medieval town with lots of fun activity. In addition there are numerous sights and destination, all within 30-45 minutes. Our only regret was not booking two weeks. At the end of our week we still had many exciting wishes that had to be left undone. We will definitely be back. Thanks Alan and Mel for making our week so memorable. PS: the local restaurant, in Cerretoli just 3 minutes away, has excellent food and is a must!

Fantastisk

Vi tilbragte en uge på dette fantastiske sted. Værtsparret var nogle skønne mennesker og Mels madlavning dannede rammen om en meget hyggelig aften. Poolen var stor og dejlig og udenomsarealerne samt bordtennisbordet gav mange gode timers leg. Byen er tæt på og der er gode muligheder for Vandreture i området.

A beautiful place in toscana

We were 9 adults and 3 children off on summer vacation to this beautiful place . The hosts were fantastic . Very Helpful with places to see , moutainbike- routes and many other things. The house is beautifully restored and the surrounding area has many options for sightseeing. The house worked perfectly for 12 with a large lovely pool - beautiful garden - all in all a fantastic stay for all of us. Thanks to our hosts😊

Just amazing

A restful week in a rural idyll

We just wanted to write to say just how much we enjoyed our week at Orbaci and how much we enjoyed exploring the beautiful Garfagnana region . It is a lovely relaxing property set in an idyllic location with stunning scenery right on the doorstep. For our money the Garfagnana has just as much to offer as the rest of Tuscany but with the huge added advantage of being free of most of the tourist hordes. The day we went to Lucca was the only time we really felt we had strayed back into the main flow of summer tourists Mel and Alan made us very welcome and were very helpful . The highpoint for us was the absolutely wonderful meal Mel cooked for us to celebrate our daughter’s twenty-first birthday whilst we were staying at Orbaci . The food was really delicious and Alan made an excellent head waiter! It made Sophie’s birthday into a very special memory . The arrangements with the wheel chair worked really well and meant the Carolyn’s mother had the best holiday she has had for years as we were able to get her out and about a lot more. The heat was amazing and meant that swimming in the pool was a great relief . It also means that we will have to come back at another time of year when it is cool enough to go walking . In particular , we had an excellent late afternoon wander at San Pellegrino but we only managed to scratch the surface so we are going to have to come back when we will be free to wander to our hearts content.

Beautiful house and setting

The place was beautiful, from the first moment we pulled into the drive we were blown away by the views. The house itself was well designed and a great size. it was only the four of us (2 children under 5!) so we did not use the basement at all, but the main house was perfect and beautifully architected, particuarly the beautiful pool area. The owners had made a real effort to ensure people felt at home, with plenty of lovely touches and decorations throughout the house. they even bought us some produce from the local market one day, as well as ensuring we had a bottle of delicous prosecco on arrival and being full of helpful tips. The most wonderful thing was that it was firefly season and baeautiful evenings were spend on the balcony with a glass of wine watching natures amazing lightshow over the gorgeous valley - perfect!. the local village was also just the right size with a few really good restaurants and an entertaining market day. We really enjoyed our stay here and woluld return, potentially with another family as well.

Fantastic and relaxing

Our party was made up of 3 families and we all found it fantastic. The owners were great and very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The surroundings are amazing and we only left the villa 1 day to shop at the local market. Kids played all day in the pool, which is a great size, all 10 of us could fit in without getting in each others way. Rooms are everything you could wish for and the beds very comfortable, the whole villa is very comfortable. If your looking for a great social house with fantastic views which will enable you to relax and unwind this is the place for you. I would happily come back and enjoy all that the villa and town have to offer. Thank you Alan and Mel X.
