Comfortable family stay in the Chianti region

Nice property/apartment with two bedrooms, good outdoor seating, grassy areas, and a nice swimming pool. Good location for trips to Florence, San Gimignano, Sienna and other Chianti towns. Good value for money.

Peace and tranquility

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tuscany. Hosts were welcoming and ensured everything was to our comfort. The kids enjoyed the spectacular pool and my wife and I had time to rest, relax and revive. The unit had everything that was needed to make it a home away from home for our little family.

Idyllic refuge in the vineyards of Toscany

If you love nature, calm and hiking in a besutiful landscape this is the right place to go. We enjoyed a wonderful week, visiting Siena, Florence and San Gimigniano - all not mor than 1 hour car drive away. Spend some relaxing hours at the pool or in the house was a wonderful combination for us. The house is a typical country house, the kitchen has earned its years but everything there you need. We enjoyed the great olive oil and wine from Andrea‘s plantations.

Sehr starker Schimmelbefall

In der Unterkunft war das Schlafzimmer leider voller schwarzem Schimmel, wodurch die Urlaubsfreude sehr geschmälert wurde. Der Vermieter teilte uns mit, dass er den Schimmel immer wieder überstreicht und das Problem damit behoben sei. Da ein Überstreichen des Schimmels das Problem nicht wirklich behebt, sondern den Schimmel nur kurzzeitig versteckt, waren wir gezwungen zu dritt in einem sehr kleinen Raum zu schlafen. Wir hatten dem Vermieter mitgeteilt, dass wir die Wohnung aufgrund des Schimmels gerne nach der ersten Nacht verlassen würden und er uns nur diese Nacht in Rechnung stellen solle. Der Vermieter hat sich darauf nicht eingelassen, da es aus seiner Sicht zur Problemlösung ausreichend sei, den Schimmel mit Schimmelentferner zu besprühen und die schwarzen Flecken zu überstreichen. Genau dies hat er dann auch getan. Nach einer langen und hitzigen Diskussion hat er uns 200 Euro Rabatt gewährt. Ich empfehle diese Unterkunft aufgrund des starken Schimmelbefalls und des damit verbundenen Gesundheitsrisikos nicht weiter.

Magnifique gîte dans les collines du Chianti, au milieu des vignes et des oliviers, disposant d'une superbe vue. Situation parfaite entre Florence et Sienne pour visiter la Toscane, ou simplement pour se reposer au calme au bord la grande piscine partagée uniquement avec un autre gite attenant. Le gite est complètement indépendant et bien équipé. Seule la literie pourrait être améliorée. L'accès se fait en partie par un chemin de terre un peu difficile qui reste néanmoins praticable avec tout type de véhicule. Notre hôte Andrea était très serviable, il propose également des produits issus de son exploitation (vin, huile d'olive). Nous recommandons vivement !!

Ruhiger Urlaub in der Toscana

Kontaktaufnahme mit den Vermietern/ Besitzern Problemlos. Fragen zügig und schnell beantwortet. Probleme oder Wünsche, kein Problem. Es war immer jemand verfügbar. Lage => mitten im niergendwo eingerahmt von Olivenbäumen und Weinbergen. Wer hier ruhe und entspannung sucht, der ist hier genau richtig. Autofahrt ca 45min bis Siena, oder Florenz. Wir haben die ruhe genossen, nachdem wir täglich die Umgebung erkundet hatten. Ausstattung=> Das Haus ist in zwei Wohnungen abgeteilt, wir nutzten die untere Wohnung. Ausstattung alles vorhanden, was man benötigte. Das hintere Schlafzimmer, war leider etwas Klamm so dass wir täglich Lüften mussten. (Im Sommer kein Problem). Das BAd sehr schön und modern ausgestattet. Die Anlage/ Pool, teilt man sich mit den etwaigen Mitmietern aus der oberen Hälfte. War für uns jedoch kein Problem. Wir waren mit 4 PErsonen und 2 Hunden vor Ort, was überhaupt kein Problem darstellte. Einzig zu erwähnen ist, die Anfahrt zum Objekt. Hier sollte man drauf gefasst sein, dass ein nach ein paar Metern Asphalt, eine Schotterpiste anfängt die wir nur in ausnahme Fällen im dunkeln befahren haben. Wir waren mit einem normalen PKW und SUV vor Ort, so dass wir die Tagesausflüge lieber mit dem SUV gemacht hatten, aufgrund der Zufartsstraße. In allem jedoch, danke Andrea und Familie für die schöne Zeit bei euch.

Accéder jusqu'à la propriété est très difficile, un chemin de terre avec beaucoup de ferrailles qui pourraient crever les pneus...d'où tous les 4x4 dans cette région! Nous ignorions que la piscine n'était pas ouverte à cette période...quelle déception, nous avions choisi cette maison pour la piscine, la propriétaire a bien vérifié, en effet c'est indiqué sur ARVBO pas sur Abritel...

1st time won’t be our last

Andrea and Martina were wonderful hosts! The “Leonardo” apartment was beautiful. The grounds were divine and the views spectacular. I had an issue with a tooth and our host were able to help me take care of it. The pool looked beautiful unfortunately it was a little chilly for us to use. Overall amazing location. Beautiful property. The property is located right off Chianti Road or the road to Chianti. We visited multiple little towns, ate incredible food and saw amazing sites! Bellisimo!

Très bel endroit

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Barberino Val d'Elsa. Andrea est très gentil, même si on l'a vu qu'à la fin de séjour. La piscine est superbe ! Peut être qu'il faudra juste envisager un petit lave linge. Bonne contination à Andrea & Martina

Entspannung pur

San Silvestro liegt, wie auch beschrieben, etwas abseits und doch ideal für Trips ins Chianti sowie nach Florenz, Siena und San Gimigiano. Wir haben uns toll erholt, wozu auch der Pool beigetragen hat. Danke auch an die sehr freundlichen und angenehmen Vermieter. Grazie Andrea

Wonderful stay

This was our fourth stay in Tuscany over the past 8 years and it’s probably been our best experience so far. The location of this agriturismo is perfect, near the beautiful village of San Donato (no tourists or fancy restaurants but peaceful and beautiful with incredible views over the hills), in Chianti, half way between Firenze and Siena ; both cities can be reached easily on a good dual carriage way within 30-40mn by car. Then the house, split into 2 separate apartments has a lot of character ; we stayed in the 2-bedroom ground flat which remained surprisingly cool despite the intense heat in august ; the house has amazing views over the hills , it is surrounded by the agriturismo olive trees, the garden is planted with a large old fig tree, a cherry tree, green oaks and it overlooks the pool ; we enjoyed the pool very much, and also having our meals in the shade of the pergola in front of the house or at night under the fig tree. Andrea and his family are extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment is not very large but it’s perfect for an authentic Tuscan experience in the summer when most of the time is spent in the garden or by the pool.

Great family vacation in lovely accommodation

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Andreas & Martinas apartment Leonardo. It exceeded our expectations as it's a beautiful location in the middle of the Chianti area in Tuscany. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed and the kids (and us as parents) loved the pool and garden. We will definitely come back. Our plan is to come back with a befriended family as it's a perfect location to go to with friend, because two main apartments share garden and pool. Thanks for a lovely vacation week.

Ruhig gelegenes Anwesen in perfekter Lage für Städtebesuch in der Toskana

Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, lassen einem aber gleichzeitig ungestört den Urlaub genießen. Das Haus ist in schönem Rustico-Stil ausgestattet und angenehm geräumig für eine Familie von 5 Personen (Monalisa Wohnung). Poolanlage ist sauber und groß. Insgesamt ist es der perfekte Ort, von dem man Tagestouren nach Florenz, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano etc. unternehmen kann und in der Umgebung Weinproben machen kann.

Idyllische Ferien im Herzen der Toskana

Schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage zwischen Weinhängen und Olivenbäumen. Dank der zentralen Lage, lassen sich viele schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung (Siena, Florenz, San Gimignano...) machen. DIe Unterkunft selbst ist geräumig und sauber. Pool und Sonnenliegen laden zum Entspannen ein. Das Haus ist allerdings sehr hellhörig. Das kann bei lauten Nachbarn schon mal etwas störend in der unteren Wohnung sein. Die Zufahrt ist nicht optimal, aber dafür wird man auch mit der schönen Lage des Anwesends belohnt. Der Vermieter und seine Familie sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir können die Ferienwohnung nur empfehlen.

Ruheoase zwischen Wald, Olivenbäumen und Weinreben

Mitten in der Chanti Region liegt dieses Einöde. Top Ausgangslage für viele Ausflüge in die herrliche Toskana. Die Besitzerfamilie ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Es gibt dort guten Wein, Olivenöl und was der Hof sonst noch hergibt. Tolle Wanderweg direkt vom Haus weg, oder Fahrradtouren für alle Geschmäcker. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Gerne auf ein Wiedersehen.

Very cosy and calm place, good location

The apartment is as seen on the pics and very well equipped. It's a great location as a homebase for daytrips or relaxing days at the pool. Martina and Andrea are lovely and helpful, we enjoyed our stay so much and would go there again without question.

Très jolie maison ancienne propre et bien équipée

Andrea et Martina, ainsi que Jeanna et Aldo ont été charmants du début à la fin du séjour. L'emplacement de leur propriété est magique, avec une vue à couper le souffle, un calme reposant -- on se croirait au bout du monde alors que l'on a Sienne et Florence à 40 minutes. La piscine est grande et agréable (attention parfois aux moustiques). La région est superbe: succession de petits villages médiévaux et paysages d'oliviers et de vigne. Nous avons passé là 3 semaines de rêve et nous sommes prêts à recommencer !

A lovely holiday in Tuscany

We had a fabulous time on our holiday. Andrea, Martina and family were both welcoming and very helpful which was very much appreciated. The setting of the apartment is exquisite with wonderful views. The outside space in addition to the apartment was lovely and both our girls really enjoyed the swimming pool. I would recommend both the apartment/ villa and the area to anybody considering a holiday in the area. We were able to visit several great places with both Siena and Florence within a relatively short drive. There are also lots of intriguing smaller towns and villages which we also enjoyed. The food and wine was excellent which added to our enjoyment. The only downside to the heat we experienced was the fact that it was still very hot at night and perhaps a way to cool down the apartment a little would help here. We had a great holiday and really appreciated your hospitality - thank you so much. The Booth Family, Leeds, West Yorks, UK.

Just perfect !!!

We wanted a Tuscany typical, quiet and clean place to stay. And that's what we found, with a bonus : charming welcoming hosts, great sunset views, not close and not too far from highways so we can easily visit Tuscany. Appartamento MonnaLisa San Donato di Poggio

Ideal location with a stuning view over the Chianti hills. Both the accomodation and the garden (+ terrace and swiming pool) are in very very good condition. We had a very pleasant stay with our 3 young children. Andrea and Martina are very helpfull and gave us the best of local hospitality. We'd love to come back !
