It's a fine place to stay close to the Vatican. Having booked this late and during early peak season the price paid was far too high for what was received. Mostly my fault.

From a Bad start to a perfect ending to our vacation thanks to our gracious host!

Imagine you’re sitting in the airport, 15 minutes til your flight from the USA departs for Europe and you receive an email regarding your accommodations in Europe informing you your apartment is not going to be available! It happened to my husband and I. The solution they presented was to offered us two very unacceptable apartments. This is what we had to choose from and told that it was all they have. Our vacation starts out as a nightmare! Immediately, sitting in the plane, I go online and search for a suitable accommodation and found that most everything was booked already! I now need an apartment with only 10 hours to arrival. Not much notice! I searched numerous rental sites and this jewel popped up. My only concern was the small size and no oven, but I quickly enquirer and booked based on the location we desired. The apartment turned out to be very comfortable, centrally located and perfect for our needs. The Host, Andrea, informed us the apartment was actually not supposed to be available but a listing agent had overlooked removing the listing. However, in spite of the mix up our host graciously accepted us. This apartment is on two levels with the kitchen, dining and relaxation areas downstairs and the sleeping and bathroom upstairs. No space was wasted. There is acceptable storage and a safe for valuables. You will find a functional kitchen (without an oven.) Comfortable living area. I’d The double bedroom was comfortable which was a nice surprise - I normally have difficulty with the usually hard European bed. The mattress was very comfortable and the armoire large with drawers and plenty of clothe hangers. There is an iron and small board to use. The TV did not come on, but it was replaced within 10 minutes. The host lives on the property and was very attentive to our needs. A real plus when renting. Everything else functioned well. To enter the unit you need to be able to climb a flight of stairs from the street level up to the entrance of the apartment. There is everything you need close to the apartment including transportation of all types, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. There is a washer in the unit and a wash dry service across the street. For a couple or perhaps a couple with 1 or two children this apartment is acceptable. I think more than this , it would seem crowded. All in all we were very pleased and since we travel to Rome twice a year we plan to reserve this unit again.
