Trulli Foggie di Sauro

Trulli Fogge di Sauro, country homes and houses, where you can fall in love with the scenery of the wonderful region of Puglia, enchanting in the Itria Valley.

This traditional trullo, ideal for a couple or a family with children, features a double bedroom with air conditioning and two sofa beds. The warmly furnished trullo, in addition to the sleeping area, also has a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The entire property is furnished in a rustic and comfortable style, with great elegance.

The outdoor patio, dominated by a beautiful structure covered in lush greenery, provides shade even during the hottest hours of the day, and is a perfect place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner, sunbathe, and enjoy the fresh air. It's bright until dusk. A beautiful hammock is located outside for complete relaxation.

There's a beautiful swimming pool reserved exclusively for our guests. A photovoltaic system heats the pool by 10% despite the beautiful Puglian sun.

The Foggie di Sauro trullo stands on a panoramic hill in the typical Apulian countryside of the Itria Valley. Within easy reach are Ostuni, the famous "White City," and Martina Franca, the "Baroque City," Cisternino, Locorotondo, and Alberobello. From this property, you can reach various tourist destinations, including the Adriatic and Ionian seas, just a few kilometers away. Trulli are an extremely popular choice for holidays in Puglia.

Excellent Stay

Highly recommend staying at this property. It is so peaceful and the host has thought of everything needed to ensure a good stay. In addition, he was always available for any issues that might arise. By the end of our stay, it felt as if we had stayed with friends

Beautiful location in the countryside close to Martina Franca and Locorotondo. Eligio was very helpful and generous leaving us with wine, a huge platter of fruit and fixings for bruschetta and orecchiette pasta and sauce dinner.

The property was lovely but smaller than we anticipated - I would say that if more than two people were staying, a few days' stay would be perfect.The host Eligio was wonderful and kept in contact with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was good, even providing us with nice unexpected presents! The welcome basket and wine was also lovely especially as we arrived late due to a delayed flight! He also provided us with a list of places to visit prior to arrival which helped in our planning of the holiday.The property would benefit from some comfortable seating for the evening - while it was nice sitting outside at the table, having a more comfortable area to sit in would make a big difference.Overall we had a lovely stay and thanks again to Eligio for his hospitality!

The property had everything we needed. It was perfect. The host was super helpful and friendly. The surrounding towns are beautiful and quick and easy to get to. Food, wine and local cornetti delicious. Our holiday there was tranquil and very relaxing.

Lovely place in a beautiful area

The trulli is a quaint, comfortable, attractive property. It is compact, but has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. The outside area is private. It is a perfect place to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and read a book. My only quibble is that the property could use use a new shower head. Highly recommended.

Eligio was a great communicator and personally greeted us and showed us around everything. There was a big table of food and wine waiting for us which we appreciated having just driven 5 hours. The trulli is spotless and looks just like the photos. It had everything we needed for our four night stay. The trulli is in a wonderful location to visit all the valley towns. We didn’t do the seaside towns but access wouldn’t be a problem. You will need a rental car for this location. Overall a very welcoming and relaxing stay with a great host

Total relaxation!

Based on previous reviews we were looking forward to our stay here, we were not disappointed. The property itself is wonderful, traditional and homely with everything you could need, the patio and pool are very large for the size of the house. Our host Eligio and his niece Sara gave us a warm welcome and our kitchen table was covered in local produce for us to enjoy during our stay. In summary, don’t hesitate in booking this property, it’s fabulous and the host is the best we have had the pleasure to meet. Thank you, and good luck with your studies Sara!

Eligio has created a wonderful vacation home. He is attentive and easily accessible, yet he also maintains a professional distance so that you can soak up the area, the property and simply relax. A Hidden Gem

Staying in a Trulli was always a dream for me,I wasn't disappointed. The character of this accommodation exceeded my expectation. The outdoor space was secluded and had lots of different areas to sit in or out of the sun. The gazebo was covered in lovely smelling jasmine during our stay too. The Owner made it even more special making sure we had everything we needed/wanted and so much more. He would bring gifts with him when he came to clean the pool. Local wine, cakes, cheese to name a few.

Relaxing and Wonderful

The host, Eligio, was so wonderful and welcoming. He brought his darling niece, Sarah, to help him with the English check-in. There were amazing welcome gifts of such nice variety, I have never felt so welcome at a VRBO before. The trulli is cozy and compact, but perfect for us. The weather was a bit cold while we were there, but the we still enjoyed the outside spaces. The trulli is centrally located for day trips to Ostuni, Martina Franca, Cisterino and Alberello. Eligio and Sara were wonderful hosts and it was a great experience to spend 4 nights in a trulli!

The best spot in Puglia

The property owner Eligio is so wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Sara his lovely niece did a fabulous job translating for us. The gorgeous photos of this trulli doesn’t tell the whole story of how beautiful, clean and well stocked it is. Eligio had so many treats waiting for our arrival and brought us delicious pastries during our stay. The pool is refreshing as is the entire property. You will be more than happy using this location as a central location for all trips in Pulgia. I would return in a second.

Excellent stay

We were given a very warm welcome by Eligio and lovely Sara on arrival and then a detailed explanation of the workings of the accomodation. The trulli is equipped with top quality crockery and linen which we have found in our travels is not always the case. The owner has paid particular attention to providing everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A huge bowl of fruit, wine, pasta and cheese awaited our arrival. During our stay Eligio checked in with us regularly by text to ensure that we were comfortable and asked if he could assist in any way. On our last night Eligio and Sara asked if they may visit and to say goodbye. The sweets and presents that they offered to us on departure were gourmet delicacies and very much enjoyed and appreciated. The hospitality was top class and unmatched and we are left with wonderful memories of this stay.

Trulli Foggie du Sauro is a countryside paradise. The peace and tranquility is ideal for unwinding, yet the location is just minutes away from nearby towns of interest and tourist attractions. It’s the ideal location for a home base to visit the many interesting places in Puglia. Your host, Eligio, and his granddaughter Sara, are a text away for anything that you may need. They sent us goggle maps links to ensure we found our travel destinations, and they were on call for anything at all. We were greeted with plentiful food and water to start off our vacation stay with a truly Puglian touch. We felt like we had our own private villa with a pool that was perfect for cooling off from the warm days in the sun. The patio area is nicely shaded with jasmine vines that filter the sunlight and provide beautiful shade for outdoor dining or relaxing. The Trulli itself has all of the conveniences of home while preserving the authenticity of living in a Trulli. If you are going to visit Puglia, you owe it to yourself to experience it as a Puglian. On a personal note, I was dealing with an ankle injury from earlier in my trip, and Eligio and Sara made sure I got connected with health care providers and a mobility device. Having that level of care from a VRBO host was extraordinary. I felt like I was a member of the family with the care and attention that I received. Many thanks to Eligio and Sara for helping to bring success to my vacation in spite of my injury. We will return! Grazie!

Beautiful Countryside Trulli

This trulli is located in the countryside adjacent to vineyards and olive groves. Car is a must. It is 30 minute drive to Ostuni and 10 minute drive to Martina Franca. The location was perfect for day visits to the many towns including Alberobello. The online listing is incorrect for location but the pictures are exactly how it is. The GPS coordinates are on the trulli website. There is also great restaurants in the nearby countryside with parking. Better food, less touristy and easier to access than the town located ones. We usually stay in the center of the old town but are glad we didn't in this case. None of the towns are that large and there is nothing better than driving through the countryside and escaping the sweltering hot towns. After 20 years of Europe apartment rentals this is the nicest owner and best welcome package we have ever had. His welcome included local wine, huge bowl of cherries, local bread, olive oil treats, bottled water. The trulli is completely stocked. He brought a friend fluent in English to explain everything. The patio is great with a hot tub (or keep it cool like we did). Water from the tap is not potable which is common in this area but the fridge was full of bottled water on arrival and it is cheap around here. It is a one bedroom with two pull out single beds in the living room. The 5 km or so around the trulli is beautiful. It blows Alberobello away. The farm trulli in that area are the best around.

Ein schönes und ruhiges Anwesen mit einem sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber. Wer relaxen möchte ist hier richtig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden bei der Ankunft herzlich begrüßt. Auf dem Küchentisch stand ein reichhaltiger Früchtekorb zur Begrüßung. Auch Kaffee, Wasser, Wein und eine Erstausstattung an Lebensmitteln waren vorhanden. Auch habe ich die tolle angebotene Massage vor Ort genutzt. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt den wir sehr genossen haben!

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in de Trulli en de gastheer Eligio en zijn nichtje Sara hebben meer dan goed voor ons gezorgd. De buitenruimte is groot en omdat het huis op een berg ligt super rustig. Vanwege de tijd van het jaar, waren we ‘s avonds al wat vroeger binnen. De ruimte binnen is prima als je samen bent. In de keuken is alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. De omgeving is prachtig!

Nous sommes arrivés très en retard à l’hébergement (23h passées) et Eligio et sa petite fille nous ont attendu et accueillis avec le sourire et présente l’hébergement avec un grand professionnalisme. Tout le long du séjour, Eligio a été joignable et très s à l’écoute de nos besoin avec de nombreuses propositions d’activités et visites dans la région.
