You will have a great vacation staying in this beautifully updated condo located in the Viewpoint complex. It's the perfect location close to the Village. Easily walk over to the Brewery, Gondola or many great shops and restaurants in the Village-no car needed! Enjoy cooking meals at home in the fully stocked kitchen. The condo comfortably sleeps 6 guests with a king bed in the master, queen bed alcove and a queen pull out couch. Mountain theme throughout giving you the cabin feel you look for when coming to the Sierras. Take in the South facing soaring views of the Sherwin Mountain Range. Great Ski Lodge

My wife, teenage son and I stayed for 5 days in April, 2025. Everything was as advertised. Clean and well kept. Easy walk to the village. There was an issue with the pellet stove so I texted the owner. They responded and had someone out there next morning to fix it Couldn’t recommend it higher. Will be my first check for availability next time we go to Mammoth.

Family Summer Trip

The property was great, easy check in and check out. Location is perfect, walk to the village, shops, restaurants, public transportation and brewery. We were lucky to see momma bear and her cubs, was a great treat. We loved having our morning cup of coffee looking at the mountains, great peaceful view. We look forward to staying here again next year.

Cozy and Close to the Village

Enjoyed our stay at Viewpoint. It’s .4 mile walk from the village so easy to get to the Gondola and restaurants. It had everything we needed. We were there during the “epic” blizzard and the rental team was so flexible, supportive and responsive during our stay. We would stay here again. It’s perfect for 4 people (two large, comfy beds), a great kitchen and living room combo.

Stellar Cabin

The nicest cabin I've ever stayed in in Mammoth! I've even stayed in a different viewpoint condo before, this one takes the cake. They really though of everything, even power strips! The pc mirroring to the TV's was nice too :).

mammoth family fishing trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. The upstairs loft was perfect for my three sons and their friend. The bunk beds and double were great for them.

Great Place to Stay except for the Moldy bathroom

Location and grounds for this condo are great Carlos the property manager is amazing, very helpful, and kind!! We were very excited to stay at this condo. Everything was perfect until we started to get sick. We noticed there was a strong odor of mold coming from the bathroom. The floor is not sealed properly in the bathroom and visible water damage from the toilet because of the condensation from the tank.We stayed here with another couple friend’s that stayed in the nook “bedroom” our friend was pregnant. I’m so thankful they didn’t stay in the master. We stayed in the master that has a sharing wall in the closet to the bathroom. After staying there for one night I lost my voice so did my husband and we both got nosebleed’s wheezing and a strong cough through out our stay. Everything we kept in the closet of the master reeked of mold and we couldn’t even bring it into our home. When I brought this to the attention of the condo owner I was brushed off and was told “mold that usually doesn’t grow in mammoth.because of the dry climate “ that is hilarious. This is a serious health hazard.

Not as clean or relaxing as what he had hoped for

We picked this condo because of its location, which is ideal for our needs. The unit as a whole was in decent shape but the carpeting or the area rugs are in need of a deep cleaning so we didn't walk on them while barefoot. The television in the bedroom requires a code; my two requests for it to the property manager were ignored. The worst part was that there construction going on in the unit above ours all week - from as early as 7 am to as late as 6:30 pm. The property manager addressed it only after two email messages and a phone call. A subsequent text message following up about the noise upstairs went unanswered. There are too many other properties in Mammoth to have to deal with this property manager in the future.

Some issues

The property was clean but not a two bedroom unit. It has one bedroom with a second bed in a converted closet that has three walls and a curtain to provide limited privacy at best. There was a cutout “interior window” in the “second bedroom” with blinds that did not go all the way down, so it lacked privacy as well. The tv in the bedroom had available memory issues that we could not rectify nor get to work. Our main disappointment was with the rental company. The verbiage on the cabin’s rental agreement was not very welcoming. The rental company responded within 15 minutes anytime I had a question. Unfortunately, their answer was to look it up on google or sorry the owner doesn’t provide that. So if you want pool towels you need to bring your own. Pay no attention to the verbiage from the rental company to return the pool towels to the unit. If you have a question about how the pellet stove works, google it. There are no instructions on how to use it. There is an office onsite that offers towels and answer questions, but it is only for properties that rent through them directly. I was also taken back being advised that the unit only provided toilet paper for 2 day usage and we should be prepared to provide our own. Thankfully when we arrived that was not the case and there was no shortage but needless to say I will not be a return guest and will not recommend it to someone else. I have stayed in other properties and have never been left to feel like I was an inconvenience
