Cute Beach Cottage!

We loved the little cottage overlooking St. Simon Sound! It was a perfect getaway and everything we needed was within walking distance. Great restaurants in the Village! Melanie was awesome to communicate with and even though we didn’t get enough bath towels by mistake, she brought clean ones right away!There is construction on the lot next door, which caused some unexpected noise, and we wish there was a washer/dryer, but overall the stay was wonderful and we would recommend this cottage.

Great stay in Honeymoon Cottage

Property was very clean and comfortable for two in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the ocean view! Location was very convenient and an easy walk to restaurants and shops in the Village. Host communication was excellent.

Great location

Our trip focused on food and sites in and around the village. This property’s location was awesome, short walk to the village. Great house, great view, highly recommend to others!

Perfect!

We booked this cottage as a little getaway for the GA/FL game and are so glad we did! We visit SSI often and have local friends but really wanted a different experience than the larger resort condos that we typically stay in. This place is quaint, quiet, and all you need for a nice, intimate getaway! The bed is super comfy, nice shower, wonderful porch with amazing views and a quick walk to The Village. We even had a last-minute late checkout that was happily accommodated! Can't wait to visit again!

Anniversary Vacay

This quaint cottage was perfect for our anniversary. Even though we ate out most of the time, the house was stocked with all that we needed. The bikes came in handy as we biked around town each day and enjoyed the use of the beach chairs. On our first evening, we saw a gorgeous rainbow over the ocean from the front porch swing. The landscaping was beautiful and we loved the close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. We climbed the lighthouse, found tree spirits, learned to crab, spent time at the community pool and enjoyed great seafood. We hope to visit again.

Anniversary Vacation

Location is ideal. Tucked away on a quaint and quiet lane yet close to everything. You can enjoy sunrises and sunsets from the southern point at the street’s end.

Our stay

Overall the place was fine. The property was a bit overgrown and just needed a trim and cut. But otherwise the cottage itself was clean and neat. If possible it would be nice to replace the wicker loveseat with a real couch. Or at least some thicker cushions.

Anniversary Getaway

The cottage is quaint, private and quiet. A perfect get away for two to lovely St. Simons Island. We appreciated the bikes and beach chairs making good use of them. The Lighthouse was a treat as was Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island. We also enjoyed our time at Fort Frederica. Melanie was a wonderful and responsive host. We look forward to coming back!

Cottage life on Georgia coast

This is a quintessential cottage in coastal Georgia. The location was perfect! You can see the water from the porch swing. You can walk to town with restaurants and shops. Cruiser bikes are provided so you can bike to the lighthouse, to the town and to numerous beaches. The host had a list of recommendations of things to do and restaurants which I used and had great success with. I highly recommend this cottage!

It has been a blessing to me to grow up on St. Simons Island and now to rear my own children here. Surrounded by the ocean, marshes, rivers, moss-draped live oaks, a day does not pass where I am not in awe of the beauty around me. I am an artist by nature and education and a licensed real estate professional by trade.

This honeymoon beach cottage is located in my favorite part of this beautiful island. The tidal beach here is the most secluded on the island. The sunsets are beautiful. If the tide is low, you can walk down the beach to the west at sunset and see and hear the bagpipers playing at Sea Island's Lodge. If the tide is high, you can watch the sunset from the grassy common area and enjoy the refreshing breezes. The beach cottage is a short walk up the beach or through a tree-lined neighborhood from the the heart of the island with village, pier, lighthouse, parks, restaurants, festivals, concerts, and shops. Although the cottage is close to the activity, it is tucked away on a side avenue by the ocean and surrounded by moss-draped live oaks. I love bird-watching from the front porch while enjoying morning coffee. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood and that of my children have been enjoyed on the beach and beachfront lawns of this part of the island. This part of the island has a rich history of hospitality, I am thrilled to be able to share this special place with others.
