This is a lovely cottage in a great location close to shops, restaurants, and sunsets at the Pier. We had everything we needed.

The house was perfect for a couple! Very close to the pier. Loved the quiet street. The yard was beautiful! Enjoyed every minute of our time there. The construction of the house did block the view, so it is probably time to update that information on the listing.

Charming cottage within a short walk from Pier Village and beaches. This was an excellent base for a week of exploring SSI. Would return and recommend. Melanie was a kind and responsive host. 10/10!!!

Recommend !

Perfect for a couple! Literally everything at walking distance. I would return in the future. Only complaint I have is that there was a day the landscaping crew was out when we were trying to enjoy the time out on the house so we decided to leave while they did what they had to do. Also had large roach bugs sneak in the house somehow. Wasn’t a problem for us but others might find that rather unpleasant.

Perfect!

We booked this cottage as a little getaway for the GA/FL game and are so glad we did! We visit SSI often and have local friends but really wanted a different experience than the larger resort condos that we typically stay in. This place is quaint, quiet, and all you need for a nice, intimate getaway! The bed is super comfy, nice shower, wonderful porch with amazing views and a quick walk to The Village. We even had a last-minute late checkout that was happily accommodated! Can't wait to visit again!

1st time on island!

Enjoyed our stay! Cottage is very new and clean! Great bed and bathroom! Great to be able to walk to the village and pier! Very friendly shop owners! Loved the views with other islands across the way and big bridge to island!

Great House/Location

We loved this bungalow for a weekend getaway. Walking distance to the village/pier and a short drive to the beach. It's clear from the listing, but just be aware there is no TV or wifi. We loved eating breakfast on the porch with a slight view of the ocean, as well as walking to dinner downtown at night.

Great location!

Loved the quaint street with the live oaks and ocean view. Perfect getaway. The book choices were outstanding! Loved the signed Eugenia Price history about SSI. On our visit to Christ Church we located her grave and some family plots from the families history she described. Very thoughtful and charming place to visit.

Great Little Place for an Escape

Warm, cozy and welcoming! We especially appreciated the little touches, like fresh flowers, that said our hosts were thinking of us. We couldn't have been happier with the location — just off the ocean and a short walk to Pier Village — and the tidiness of this cottage. A great place for a break from the world. We hope to return next year!

Wonderful coastal cottage in St. Simon's Island, Georgia

What a great space -- perfect location for walking to bustling pier village, but at the same time nestled in oaks and Spanish moss. It really felt like a retreat. The house is beautiful, well maintained and has a lot of charm. Touches like fresh flowers on arrival added to the experience. We would certainly stay here again. Thanks!

Anniversary Vacay

This quaint cottage was perfect for our anniversary. Even though we ate out most of the time, the house was stocked with all that we needed. The bikes came in handy as we biked around town each day and enjoyed the use of the beach chairs. On our first evening, we saw a gorgeous rainbow over the ocean from the front porch swing. The landscaping was beautiful and we loved the close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. We climbed the lighthouse, found tree spirits, learned to crab, spent time at the community pool and enjoyed great seafood. We hope to visit again.

It has been a blessing to me to grow up on St. Simons Island and now to rear my own children here. Surrounded by the ocean, marshes, rivers, moss-draped live oaks, a day does not pass where I am not in awe of the beauty around me. I am an artist by nature and education and a licensed real estate professional by trade.

This honeymoon beach cottage is located in my favorite part of this beautiful island. The tidal beach here is the most secluded on the island. The sunsets are beautiful. If the tide is low, you can walk down the beach to the west at sunset and see and hear the bagpipers playing at Sea Island's Lodge. If the tide is high, you can watch the sunset from the grassy common area and enjoy the refreshing breezes. The beach cottage is a short walk up the beach or through a tree-lined neighborhood from the the heart of the island with village, pier, lighthouse, parks, restaurants, festivals, concerts, and shops. Although the cottage is close to the activity, it is tucked away on a side avenue by the ocean and surrounded by moss-draped live oaks. I love bird-watching from the front porch while enjoying morning coffee. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood and that of my children have been enjoyed on the beach and beachfront lawns of this part of the island. This part of the island has a rich history of hospitality, I am thrilled to be able to share this special place with others.
