Welcome to Puffin Lodge - Detached beach house, ideal for couples or a family with young children (perfect for a family of 4 plus an infant) - part of The Bay Filey holiday village - with pool and beach access nearby! Enjoy a spacious south facing terrace after a day at the beach!

Enter Puffin Lodge through the step free door into the hallway with storage for coats. To your left are the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom with two single beds (these can be made up by guests on arrival as a 5 foot bed).

There is also another shower room with jack-and-jill doors.

To the right is the open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with leather sofa and SMART TV (with Netflix, amazon prime, Apple TV etc - bring your own logins). Exit through the large bifold doors to the deck with seating, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside.

We leave a few games for our guests to use. The log burner makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

What a great place to stay

This type of accommodation had been recommended to us and on arrival we immediately realised that the advice given to us was 100% on the ball. Puffin Lodge would certainly be the place where we would want to be on our next visit. Every aspect of the place was first class and we felt extremely comfortable - home from home. The support staff were also very helpful when we had an issue and they went out of their way to help. Absolutely brilliant all round.

Excellent Property

Comfortable and clean Lodge. Having stayed at lodges before, it was wonderful to find to two tall lamps in the living room area. Two of us craft in an evening, so this was perfect. We made good use of the ceiling fan during the heatwave, it really helped to cool us all down. Nice to have some empty cupboards in the kitchen, as I bring some food with me due to having coeliac disease, it made a change being able to put it away. Instructions provided were very detailed and made life easier. The only drawback we could find was that the sleepers outside the property could do with being replaced. We are looking at rebooking Puffin Lodge next year.

Beautiful holiday home

There is everything you need here for a lovely holiday. Very well equipped and beautifully presented. The decking is great as it gets the sun all day long and no annoying traffic. Will definitely come again

Lovely Puffin Lodge

I booked for a short break with my daughter and grandchildren. Anchor Bay were very efficient and provided all the information we needed in a timely manner. Puffin Lodge was perfect for us, being well stocked with all you could need and was very clean and well presented. We had a perfect few days and would definitely return.

Lovely comfortable stay

The lodge is very nice, the bed and furniture are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped.. There are games and 2 boxes of dvds, the Tv can get lots of apps but unfortunately not now tv ( we would have liked to watch sky sports). We had a brilliant time and wanted to stay an extra night so I phoned and spoke to a very friendly lady called Laura who let us stay for a reasonable price. The only slight downside with the bay would be parking in high season I would think. The space at the side of lodge wasn’t big enough for a SUV we parked behind the lodge with no problem ( April). Would definitely go back Thank you

Great Lodge

A great lodge and at a good price point. We took our youngest and his friend for 3 nights and it worked really well with the 2 en-suites. We have visited the bay many times and have stayed in houses and lodges. All seem to be of a high standard. It’s a great spot, although I would say that the offerings on the site aren’t quite as good as they used to be. There is now only one pub with very average food and no atmosphere at all. There used to be a lovely Italian if you didn’t fancy the pub and we really miss that. The pub now has a pizza oven but it’s it’s not the same. It was a great stay and I’m certain we will be back

Weekend break - Puffin Lodge

Puffin Lodge is really well equipped, modern, comfortable and clean. Welcome box a nice touch. Good communication and trouble free booking with Anchor Holidays. Nice quiet position on the site. Good parking with easy access. Pleasant walk down to a lovely beach with amazing views. Plenty to visit in the nearby area. Three days wasn't long enough. Would happily recommend and would love to return.

Very good holiday would come again. Was not keen on the wood car park was very slippery and my wife is not steady on her feet. But we had a good stay.

Lovely New Year Break

We’ve stayed many times at the Bay so knew what to expect of the site. The Puffin Lodge did not disappoint, very clean and with all the amenities you would need for your stay. The WiFi did not let us down so that helped keep our 2 young children happy of an evening . Would stay again and would book with Anchor Bay again.

Midweek stat Puffin Lodge

Another great stay with Anchor holidays at the Bay.Everything was very good the only fault we found was dog owners allowing their pets to wander around off lead . This problem is no fault of Anchor holidays but could be addressed by the site owners.

onsite pub

The only drawback with The bay was the pub/restaurant. I appreciate it was early in the holiday season but the pub did not serve food at certain times and when we did get some it was not very good. I must say the shop was well stocked.

Puffin lodge

We have visited The Bay many times but our first time staying in a beach hut. We wasn't disappointed. The lodge was beautiful. It was clean and comfy. It was beautifully maintained.The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils and all the crockery was new and plentiful. The location was quiet and private and near to the amenities, with just a short walk to the beach. There is nothing negative to say and we hope to go back. The standard of the lodge is a credit to its owners. The booking with Anchor Bay was very efficient. We were emailed with all the instructions. We had a very enjoyable stay
