Not clean at check-in!! Uncomfortable encounter with housekeeping! Poor resolution from management!
The condo was not clean at our 4:00 check-in time. The cleaning crew had just started. We had to awkwardly communicate with the cleaning crew through Google translate to let them know our plan. I could tell they felt just as awkward as I did. We had to leave our bags on one of the beds and quickly leave to go eat dinner. In what I’m sure was a hurried attempt to clean, they missed spots of sand and trash from the previous guests. The cleaning crew made it seem as though they weren’t notified of guests checking into the unit until the last minute that day.
Also, the coffee pot available in the room (which was listed in the unit description as an available kitchen appliance) did not work so I had to go buy a coffee pot, which I kindly left in the condo when we left.
When I informed the management company of these issues, all they offered me was an apology and a scolding on what I should’ve done. I requested a partial refund totaling just $63.57 for the 2+ hours that we weren’t able to use the condo past the agreed upon check in time and the coffee pot that I bought and kindly left to replace the broken one. I have yet to hear back from them regarding this requested refund.
I was very disappointed in how the situation was handled with lack of professionalism and no actual resolution.
